"we did not wish to just pick a random universe and hope for the best, master shinji believed that his luck would have had him be reborn in a universe worse off then this one, so me and my master using the power of lilith created our own universe pooling resources from universes that were worse for wear, we incorporated many things into this new fantastical world that we created, before we allowed ourselves to be reborn, i chose to be reborn as me, my master wanted a completely fresh start and a new identity, and so he got one, he became adriel marchosias gremory, head of the house of marchosias, and adopted member of the house of gremory, but he was also the messiah azrael, and he was shinosuke itsukimaru" rei explained

"so shinji's worshiped" asuka said

"he is not, very few actually know of his true identity of the creator of avalon, all servants to the master himself, it is well known that if the messiah were to return, he would take up the throne of avalon and rule their society, it is expected as spoken in the religion of the reaper" rei said

"the reaper" misato asked

"the reaper of angels, azrael, his name from the brief time that he was an angel before his rebirth, that was the main reason he chose to be reborn, he did not wish to live as an angel he believed he would be hunted by you and his father, you seeking to kill him, his father seeking to control him, now he is no longer an angel, has an army at his back, and is even more powerful then any angel ever encountered including adam and lilith" rei said, as the made it to the main bridge, as rei walked onto the bridge an officer immediately came to attention

"CAPTAIN ON DECK" the officer called out, as the rest stood from their stations, moved to attention, and looked towards her

"thank you everyone, stations please, the master is expecting us home, speaking of, helm set our course, before for translight jump" rei ordered

"aye major ayanami" the helmsman said

"is that your official rank" misato asked

"my official rank is vice-admiral, my master's official rank was general he was set to be promoted brigadier general when he retired he would have been the youngest brigadier general to ever assume the rank, however he would have had to give up his commission for a desk job in the capital, something he was not willing to do, so instead he retired, but would return should the need arise, on the condition they agree to never promote him any further, both me and my master prefer our former ranks when addressed him being colonel me being major, hence why he referred to me as major when we were speaking on your ship, but he only refers to me in such a way when i am on duty, when i am off duty, he uses my name" rei explained

"i see so despite him not being well known, he was still able to get to a place of authority" asuka said

"he did, but he did so purely on his own merit, we didn't just create the world and vanish we made sure that we could live in it, we built and created the government and military, of course we did so as azrael and his faithful servant nurial, now it wasn't foolproof there are occasional wars that need to be fought, between the united worlds federation, and planetary confederation, both were technically created by us, but we didn't plan for the planetary confederation, they were a nation formed by conservatives who believed in a monarchy, they also staunchly believe that the messiah is a part of their society, and they are waiting for him to claim his throne, master would prefer not to become king of an interstellar empire, he does not wish for the responsibility, many have high expectations for their messiah, me and my master are apart of the progressive united worlds federation, it is the hope of my master that eventually he can reveal himself, and be simply a figure they go to for guidance, similar to the elders of old, and not their ruling monarchs, i would recommend not bringing this up to master however" rei said

"why" mari asked

"there are many among master's servants, myself included, that believe that master would be a good ruler to the people and it would bring the two nations back together once more, as the seraphim empire" rei said, the three girls blinked not expecting that
