There's a myth about magical black dogs. It goes something like this: "If someone should see the black dog once, it will be for joy. If twice, it will be for sorrow. The third time, he shall die."
Sirius Black (SIRIUS. IS THE D O G S T A R. IT'S IN THE CONSTELLATION C A N I S M A J O R [I THINK]. HIS LAST NAME IS BLACK, LIKE THE COLOR. HE'S AN UNREGISTERED ANIMAGUS WHO TURNS INTO A B I G B L A C K D O G) appears in three of the Harry Potter books while he's alive.
1st appearance:Prisoner of Azkaban. Happy ending. (Once, for joy.)
2nd appearance:Goblet of Fire.Sad ending(Cedric dies/becomes a sparkly vampire). (Twice, for sorrow.)
3rd and final appearance:Order of the Phoenix. ...o7. (Thrice, death.)
I don't know whether to be impressed or upset.
Probably both.
