Pairings: Itoshi Rin x Reader

A story in which Rin suddenly fails one of his classes (people think he's smart but the only thing he actually excels in is English, every other subject tho? He's pretty bad at it) and decides to get a tutor from the REAL top 1 in his class <3333 (which is you if it isn't obvious enough)

Ps. This didn't go how I wanted it to go at all.

"What is this?" Sae lets out a tired sigh, his expression stoic as ever as he raises an eyebrow at his younger brother. Multiple papers were scattered along the desk he was sitting at, the bold red ink practically glowing as if to further emphasize the circled score at the top of each one.

"What? it's just one subject. I'm passing everything else, aren't I?" Rin scoffed, his mood obviously disgruntled at the fact that he even has to have this talk with his detested older brother. "Besides, it's not like I'll be needing any of these after I go pro."

"Rin..." Sae shook his head in disappointment as he picked up Rin's Mathematics exam papers, the giant single digit number practically glaring at him. "I didn't allow you to focus on soccer if this was the result you were going to get in school."

Although Sae technically didn't have much to say seeing as how he himself wasn't doing all that well in school, at least he hasn't actually failed any of his exams or classes once. Had Rin continued on getting passable grades, Sae wouldn't honestly have minded as much but a failing one, not to mention single digit, is something he can't simply look over as an older brother. (Their parents would kill him for "not doing anything about it")

"I'll just make up for it next time." Rin retorted back, his patience obviously dwindling but his efforts of trying to stay calm was obvious. "Can I go now?"

Seeing as how he wouldn't be getting much more out of this conversation, Sae merely waved a hand with a sign. "Fine, go ahead."

As Rin left hurriedly, Sae couldn't help but tap his foot in the ground in contemplation. What should he do about Rin's school problems?

Hmm...

The man's eyes roamed all over the living room, hoping to get a sign for what to do. Just like a miracle, Sae's phone suddenly rang, signalling a notification.

He opened the lock screen and saw who it was from.

[Name]

I'm really sorry for
the late text but do
we have a meeting
tomorrow?

5:15 pm

Sae leisurely typed a response before feeling a light bulb pop up in his mind. If his memory served him correctly, [Name] was Rin's classmate right?

A glint appeared in his eyes. He knew what he was going to do now.

You'd expect that as a consistent top student, listening to classes would be a lot more enjoyable. Unfortunately, even though you liked the feeling of understanding a lesson, classes were still very much boring to you as it is for everyone else.

Thankfully, it was finally the end of the school day meaning you can finally go home and rest. While you liked your extracurricular activities (you wouldn't have joined them if you didn't), god did you miss being able to go home early for once.

Majority in the classroom had cleared up already, most of them as eager as you to go home, leaving you and a few people still packing. As you inserted your final items and zipped up your bag, a knock seemed to echo in the room.
