"She is experiencing symptoms of acute kidney injury. Please take her for dialysis," I instruct the nurse. A nod of understanding follows, and she promptly wheels the lady's bed toward the elevator, a beacon of hope in the face of medical uncertainty.

Surveying the emergency sector, I notice a notable transformation. The once frenetic atmosphere has subdued into a semblance of order. The hustle and bustle have given way to a coordinated symphony of medical professionals working in unison, each playing a vital role in the delicate dance of healthcare.

With a sense of accomplishment, I peel off my gloves. Each removal signifies a moment of profound connection between patient and caregiver. The gloves, now a vessel of shared experience, find their resting place in the dustbin. I take a moment to absorb the room's newfound calm, exhaling a breath of relief that echoes the collective sigh of everyone involved in this orchestrated effort to bring solace to those in need.

After the incident in store room, I straight went to Chhavi room to check on her.

I can't describe the smile that was on her her face when she saw me. Fortunately, She doesn't remember anything that happened because of the seizure.

Exiting the emergency room, I join Akshara and Sanjana, already waiting in the hallway. "C'mon, Mahak! We waited forever for you! It's past our check-out time," Akshara groans, shoving her watch in my face.

I chuckle and nod in acknowledgment. The three of us proceed to head out of the hospital after completing the check-out process at the reception.

"So, how was your day with Mr. Knight?" Sanjana asks, giving my shoulder a playful nudge. I shake my head in disbelief. "Hey! Stop romanticizing us! He helped me, and nothing else," I clarify. "Oh... I think I heard Aditi blabbering nonsense about you being with Dr. Anirudh to Dr. Anika. She looked jealous," Sanjana adds, casually tossing a Mentos into her mouth.

Raising an eyebrow in confusion, I caution, "Be careful, I'm not having a good feeling about this girl." Before I could reply, Akshara taps my shoulder and whispers, "Who is that charming man over there, who has his eyes on you?"

I look at her, following her gaze to find Dev, leaning casually against his car with his hands folded in front of his chest. He instantly smiles upon seeing me and waves before walking over to us. "He's coming here!" Sanjana whispers in my ear, excitedly shaking my shoulder with both hands. Oh, these girls...

"Hello, ladies. Well, won't you introduce me to your friends?" he asks, his eyes lingering on me. "Yeah, Mahak, introduce us to your new friend," Akshara teases, whispering in my ear. I give Akshara a bemused look, silently conveying my exasperation.

Either way they both ain't going to listen.

"He is Mr. Dev Rajvansh, the nephew of the lady we helped in the bus," I introduce, glancing at Sanjana and Akshara. Sanjana's eyes widen in an 'O' shape. "Please meet my friends, Sanjana and Akshara," I continue, and both of them extend their hands to Dev simultaneously. Dev looks between their hands, adding an unexpected layer of tension to the situation, and I struggle to contain my laughter.

In an amusing turn of events, Dev decides to shake both of their hands with his own, deftly diffusing the competition between Sanjana and Akshara.

"You came to see your Mausi?" I inquire, and he responds, "No, I was waiting for you." I notice a faint pink tint on his cheeks as he admits he waited for me to become available. Sanjana interjects, "How long have you been waiting?" with an amused tone. "Ah... maybe somewhere around 4 hours? Mausi wanted to rest, so I went to the kids' ward, and there was a girl, Chavvi. She is so fond of you," Dev shares with a smile on his lips.
