I'm this au instead of Charlie having the idea to redeem sinners Emily not only knew about the extermination but had the idea to redeem sinners to stop the extermination. With the seras blessing she allows her to go down to hell to try and redeem sinners giving her exactly a year to prove her idea can work but she doesn't send her alone she send lute one of heavens best exterminators
Lute dosent believe in redemption but she still helps Emily because she was ordered too but Emily soon realized that this is gonna be a uphill battle against heaven to get her way luckily she has friends to help her

(Also for context: in this au alastors backstory of how he rose to power stays mostly the same till he meets husk being super cocky since he's taken down overlords more powerful than husk and husk still owning a lot of people's souls they both decide to gamble with not only the people they own souls but their souls on the line but in this case husk wins and alastor owes him his soul)
