It was cold as a bitch outside. Asher and I were grabbing a cup of coffee before heading back to our place.

Checking my watch, it read 12:37 am. Sariah was probably asleep by now.

My body is so sore right now, but nothing an ice bath can't do.

We have to be ready for when Aldamar, our Number one victim, comes back to the states.

That's why Asher and I were training on our off days, instead of relaxing. Because we need to be ready.

When it comes to Aldamar, he likes to let other people fight for him, and not himself.

Imagine being a grown-ass man and making other people fight your battles. That's crazy.

"Yo, Aaron, Richard. Where y'all at?" I shout as I close the door behind Asher and me.

"Why the fuck are y'all so loud?" an unknown voice asked.

I looked towards the source and saw an unfamiliar woman standing in the kitchen, in a big T-shirt with her hair in a messy bun as she took sips out of- wait a damn minute.

This woman is drinking out of my coffee mug. Not just any, but my FAVORITE coffee mug.

"Who the fuck is you?" Asher asked, setting his stuff down.

"I should be asking y'all that, coming into my man's house like y'all own the place."

Asher and I looked towards each other, giving each other a knowing look, rolling our eyes.

"Aaron," we spoke simultaneously before walking away from the confused lady.

Walking into my bedroom, I plop down on my bed, taking my shoes off and placing them down.

Relaxing into my mattress, picking my phone up, I dial up Sariah's number.

"Hello," she yawned.

"Hey, were you asleep?"

I heard shuffling before she answered. "No, I just got done working. What's up?"

"Nothing, just missing you. Are you home?" I ask, putting my phone on speaker and taking my sweatshirt off.

"No, did Richard not tell you?"

The fuck?

"No, tell me what, angel?" I ask, concern evident in my tone.

"I had to leave a couple of hours ago; I am on a plane right now for a business meeting in New Jersey with my boss," she sighed.

I hum. "Alright Love, well, you sound tired, so Ima leave you be, goodnight."
