Working at the clinic has actually been very entertaining, stressful but definitely entertaining

The way that my schedule works is that I am off every other weekend and the weekends I'm not off, I have Tuesday and Thursday off instead.

Usually I work day shift since Ms.Giulia prefers night shift but I have worked night shift a few times and I completely understand why she likes night shift better.

The CNA's during the night shift are nicer and you don't need to constantly ask them to do aspects of their job that are an obvious given. Also they were more receptive and respectful to my transition as their boss, and they helped me become familiar with the routine.

Day shift sometimes doesn't take me serious, not only because they are all older than me but also because I'm not as strict as Ms.Giulia

Who knew being nice and ordering food for them sometimes would backfire on me

Luckily I don't have to worry about that until Monday, it's Friday night and my weekend off so I can just relax

I grab my heated blanket and wrap myself up like a burrito but allow some arm room so that I can grab the popcorn I just took out of the microwave while I watch the animated Hercules movie for the thousandth time

I'm halfway through the movie and singing along with the muses when I hear a knock on the door

I pause the movie and check the time on my phone, it's 9 pm

It couldn't be any of the neighborhood kids because not only do they know not to bother me after 7 pm if it's not dire but their parents don't let them stay out later than 8 pm

When I go to my door and look out my peephole, I see two figures and by the hushed whispers I can tell that the shorter figure was scolding the taller figure

I know my black ass has no business being curious in these situations but I'm too nosy and I have too many damn windows and lights in this place to act like I'm not home

I open the door to see nonna Lucia who lives across the street from me, but when I look at the person next to her, my eyes almost bulge out of their sockets

They stop their hushed arguing the moment they register that I've opened the door

His head turn towards me, he's wearing sunglasses but by the way his eyebrows rose, I can tell he's holding the same expression I am
