Genre: Fairytale Fantasy

This pair of covers represent duality/chaos. I wanted the lore to be like a fairy tale but not exactly. Think Grimm's fairytales, except its not as dark and rather more ambiguous.

And so I decided to include elements that would show this theme throughout. First and foremost, the design is based on arcana cards, which are well known for their double meanings. The two books are part of 'The divinity series', even tho there is nothing divine about the experiences the characters go through. The princess is forced to be royalty and the knight has the burden of the pledge. But in the end, the princess is still beautiful like in any fairytale. The knight is the most loyal and strongest one you could find amongst the fairytales.

The design itself is designed to be symmetric, but when it gets to the center, the symmetry breaks where their hands cross, which is supposed to signify their silent protest against their assigned roles.

I always wanted to play with symmetry, it's such an interesting way of designing and I like my first attempt at it lol. These designs are actually kinda inspired by -dankbot, she's the one who made me wanna try something with the symmetry tool.

(Low key proud of this ehe~)
