"How is it going with your new friend?" Seollee wondered, tapping her pen on her note book as she stared at the teenager with anticipation. The room was dim and the navy blue curtains were pulled across. The glow of the bright fish tank shon around the room, creating a blue glow on Ellie's face.

The sixteen year old girl shrugged with a soft smile. "It's fun. I think I'm finally enjoying myself.." she stated. "I feel like I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not around him, I don't feel like I have to act happy even when I'm not. I can just be myself." She explained happily.

Her therapist nodded with a sweet smile, "I'm glad." She awed and tilted her head to the side with admiration. "Why don't you try and hang out with him more than Kyujin?" She suggested.

"I have been these last few weeks, but I think that's just because Kyujin's always with her boyfriend." Ellie said while playing with the fabric of her jeans, a smile softly and casually falling upon her features.

"How have you been sleeping since you've started hanging out with this boy?" Seollee wondered, leaning closer to the girl.

"I feel excited to wake up in the mornings, and he makes me want to go to bed earlier just so I can see and hang out with him sooner." She unknowingly smiled. "He makes me feel safe whenever I'm with him- as if I don't need to worry about anything."

Seollee nodded and pursed her lips, "why don't you try and make this 'friendship' deeper?" She suggested, emphasising the word 'friendship'.

Ellie's eyebrows frowned at her words, making the friendship deeper? How or why would she do that? "I think he just thinks of me as a friend, there's no way we can be anything more." She analysed and avoided eye contact with the older women.

"You never know until you've tried."

Ellie sat on the hospital bed while her doctor, Lee Yujun, checked over her temperature and status. She was used to having regular check ups, but this time was different. She didn't feel as worried about the news she'd receive and she didn't feel as though she needed makeup to cover up the bags under her eyes. "You don't seem as tired today.." he pointed out with a mumble as he checked her pulse, his warm fingers wrapping around her cold wrist.

Ellie nodded and couldn't hold back her grin, "yeah, I've been sleeping better recently." She responded causing a pleased smile to reach Doctor.Lee's face. He looked up at her with widened eyes, a sigh of relief leaving his thin lips.

"Your body temperature is still cold despite the heating inside this room." He mentioned while taking off his blue disposable gloves and putting them into the bin positioned beside his desk. "Are you eating okay?" He questioned with a tilt of his head.
