Chapter 1 "Glance"

"Tacia, call your father now!" sigaw ni mommy kaya Dali Dali akong pumunta sa opisina ni daddy.

"Dad tawag ka po ni mommy" Sabi ko.

Pumunta nga kami sa hospital, Rodriguez Hospital? Pumasok kami sa Isang room, nandoon si kuya, nakahiga at may naka tusok sa likod Ng kamay niya.

"Tacia, Sweetie, Listen to the doctor hm?" Mommy said, naguguluhan ako dahil bakit ako makikinig sa doctor?

Dinala nila ako sa Isang room at nakita ko roon Ang Isang doctor at dalawang nurse.

"What's your name, little girl?" The doctor asked.

"Why?" I said in return.

The doctor giggles kaya mas lalo akong nag taka, May mga parang bags doon, mga tatlo ata ang naroon.

"Matapang ka ba?" He ask "Tiisin mo lang Ang sakit ah? Saglit lang to, Isang kagat lang Ng langgam" Pag papatuloy niya

"But ants bite hurts" I reasoned out which made the doctor chuckled. What's so funny about the ants bite?

It turns out, Kinukuhanan Pala nila ako Ng dugo, Kinukuhanan nila ako without me knowing it. I just found myself sleeping in my room when I got up. Tiningnan ko kung saan ako kinuhaan Ng dugo. Nanghihina akong bumangon. Really?

Tatlo kaming mag kakapatid, I'm the middle child and our youngest stays at my grandma's house.

Years passed, It becomes my routine every June 30, They'll come and get me then dispose me in my room after they get what they want.

"Congratulations, Tacia" Mommy said and kissed my cheeks. Daddy couldn't go so he just sent me a bouquet of tulips. My brother is here sulking.

"Thank you, mommy" I said and smiled.

Graduation namin ngayong Grade 6, at Ako Ang valedictorian ng batch namin. We celebrated my achievement in a fancy restaurant, where my mother invited all of her friends just to say how she let me do things I want while studying, well in fact she wouldn't let me go out of my room unless I finished my homeworks.

"My Tacia is a valedictorian! Super proud ako sa kanya, kita mo yon lily? Kahit Hindi ko pine-pressure sumusunod" Mommy's words make me want to roll my eyes, All lies.

The celebration ended, then we got home, want upstairs and sleep.

Months passed, Enrollment na for Grade 7, Sumama ako Kay mommy to know where my room is. There's this two girl who's laughing so hard, I bet the other one with the long hair joked.
