In a world of superheroes, supervillains, superpowers, and many other things, there was very little that could surprise society in the current age. After the first person who was born with a Quirk, the world changed in the best of ways. More and more people were born with amazing powers, most gaining their abilities by the time they turned four. Some were late-bloomers while others either did not get a Quirk or gained their powers through trauma/stress. But, eventually, over eighty percent of the world's population had Quirks.
And with the birth of Quirks also came the birth of heroes and villains. Being a hero became one of the most coveted jobs in the world. They were not only admired and beloved, but they also became the standard for all the good people could do with their Quirks. Because while many villains and criminals used their Quirks for selfish and evil reasons, the way the heroes used their Quirks greatly outweighed how the villains used theirs.
There were the regular heroes, also called Daylight heroes, who worked out in the open. They were the ones who often were seen on patrols in their home cities and handled most of the crimes that happened during the day. Then, there were the Underground heroes. They were the ones who worked in secret and often were working with the police on dangerous investigative cases. Such as taking down drug labs, stopping trafficking rings, and many other crimes that take place during the night.
There were also three other types of heroes. Rescue, support, and analytical. Rescue heroes were more than often seen during natural disasters or after big villain attacks. They were the heroes who focused on saving the people who were caught in those disasters. They also handled cases like finding people who go missing during hikes, during heavy blizzards, and other nature-related incidents. Support heroes were the ones who had Quirks or skills that allowed them to aid other heroes rather than being on the front lines themselves. They were the heroes who tended to have healing, power-up, energy-giving, or force field Quirks. They were a great help to the Daylight heroes during tougher villain battles. Analytical heroes are the closest thing that comes to a detective version of a hero. They were halfway between a Daylight and an Underground hero. They often worked with the police while doing their investigations into those who they believe are criminals but needed actual proof. They relied more on their brains than physical fighting.
For most, Quirks came in when they were four to five years old. While that did cause a lot of parents to get extra stressed since dealing with superpowered toddlers was not the easiest thing in the world, it became the new normal. Plus, gaining their powers so young allowed the kids to learn how to control their powers enough so that they were not a danger to themselves and others. That was the only exception to the laws of how only licensed heroes were allowed to freely use their Quirks. Other jobs, such as doctors, policemen, and firemen, were allowed to use their Quirks as well. But, only for their jobs. They could not freely use their Quirks in their everyday lives like heroes could.
Though, to be honest, there were a lot of people who paid very little attention to that law. Many used their Quirks whenever they wanted. Mostly in their homes to not get caught. But, there were still those who used their Quirks out and about. Such as those with telekinetic Quirks using them to get things off high shelves while shopping or parents with sleep-related Quirks using them to help get their kids to bed at night. Not to mention the kids who use their Quirks constantly while growing up. Both to get used to their powers and also because they were kids.
And Izuku Midoriya was one of those kids. But, he was more careful and thoughtful than others. Mostly because of the Quirk he gained when he was little.
Izuku was a late-bloomer when it came to when he got his Quirk. He had almost turned seven by the time he got it. That was rare outside of forced Quirk development and stress-induced Quirk development. But, Izuku did end up getting his Quirk. And it was a powerful one.
