a rainy day

{catnap pov}
I wake up as the sun shines through the window as I look over noticing that dogday isn't there as he probably went home as I got up as I noticed it was raining as I stood up. I walk downstairs as I notice dogday standing at the window watching the rain...
*...*

"I thought you left?"

*I say as I watch him jump and turn around*

Dogday: omg! Catnap! Stop scaring me!

I laugh as I  walk over to him "sorry it's a habit."
I say as I look at the rain

Dogday: it looks like it's gonna storm? Why don't we go out and play outside before it rains hard

I look at him as I shrug "idk. It's probably cold out?" I say as I notice him giving me puppy dog eyes while holding my shoulders as he says "please!" I sigh as I say "fine" I walk away as I grab one of my hoodies as I put it on as I look at him as he seems nervous as I get confused
"Why do you seem so nervous?"

Dogday: no reason!

I watch him run outside as I follow him while putting my hoodie up as I watch him run around [he's really a idiot? Playing in the rain with no jacket? Not even a scarf? He's gonna get his ass sick]
I thought as I watch him fall and land into a puddle as I laugh as he gets up and shakes the water off before continuing to run around

{Dogday pov}
I run around in the rain soaking wet as I look at catnap who was laughing a little as I run over to him as I hug him getting him wet
"Come on! Don't be a scaredy cat!"
I say dragging him with me through the rain as we laugh

/A hour later/

{Catnap pov}
It started thundering as it rained harder but dogday refused to go inside as I tried dragging him but he wasn't cooperating
"Come on dogday! Let's get inside! It's gonna thunder"

Dogday: no! It's not gonna be that bad!

I get annoyed as I grab his hand dragging him to my house but he pulled his hand away
"Dogday... Your gonna get your ass sick!"

Dogday: nah uh! Trust me cat. I'll be okay? It's just rain-

A loud thunder was heard as dogday jumps a little and clings to me. I laugh as I say "are you scared of thunder?"

Dogday looks at me and says "no! It just caught me of guard..."

I laugh as I grab his hand "come on let's go inside!"

Dogday pulls his hand away and laughs running says "catch me if ya can kitty!"

I stare in disbelief before laughing as I run after him

/Timeskip after catnap cornerd him again a tree/

I finally caught him as cornered him against a tree as he was leaning his back against the tree as I was standing in front of him with both hands on the tree and on both sides of me so I was between his arms
"Got no where to go huh pup?"
I say laughing a little while getting my breath from running

{Dogday pov}
I was leaning against the tree as both of catnap's hands were on both sides of me on the tree as I  felt mu face getting warm... Way too warm! I was probably red as a tomato as I felt sweat go down my forehead as I look around blushing

(Like this ↓ but cat isn't holding dog's arm up or touching him and just has his hands on both sides of dogday's body)

{Catnap pov}
I noticed his was red as a tomato as I ask if he's okay as I put a hand on his forehead thinking he got sick but he tries to run but I grab his wrist as I pull him back over to me as I look at him
"Hey you good? Your as hot as a chilly?"

I say as I notice him turning more red as I was confused before realizing
"I meant the temperature! Not uh- not your looks- I mean your hot- but I meant the temperature" I say awkwardly as he wasn't as red anymore

I noticed it was raining harder as I look at dogday "come on let's go inside"

I watch as dogday just sat down as he said "nope- I like the rain."

I sigh "get up-" I say as dogday just shook his head no as I say "so your just gonna sit there the whole time it rains?" I say kinda annoyed as I try dragging him but nothing worked as he just sat there as after a while I had enough as I pick him up bridal style (bro getting zesty🫣) as I carry him back to my house as he tried to get out  of my grip to get back to the tree but I got a good grip

/After they got to catnaps house/

{Dogday pov}
I blush as nobody ever carried me before as I feel him drop me on his couch as he walks away to get trowels to dry us off as I shiver from being out on the cold rain too long as catnap comes back and hands me a towel as I take it from him as I dry my fur off

/Timeskip they decided to do a another sleepover/

I lay on the bed in the guest bedroom as catnap went to his room as I snuggled into the blanket his gave me(the Violet fluffy one he used last time) as catnap gave me a nightlight as I close my eyes as I slowly drifted to sleep
