Ghouls, there were many kinds of Ghouls.
Ones from folklore, Mythology, different names for them, different cultures in which they come from.
But these Ghouls? They're slightly different from the others. Then again, all the Ghouls were different. These ones were still alive, and can still function like regular humans. But they had inhuman abilities.
They were extremely strong, had great speed, and had something called Kagunes.
They're also very dangerous, cruel, and saw humans as nothing more than what humans view cows.

A slab of meat that he could feast on anytime......

A low growl could be heard within a decent sized apartment.
"Damnit! Just because we're dangerous doesn't fucking mean we're evil! Well.. A lot are...."
A young male who looked to be around 24 or 25 sat on his couch as he watched the news. He sighed heavily and rubbed his face. This male's name is none other than Shen Yuan, and as most can perhaps tell. He's a ghoul.
He comes from a secret long line of Ghouls. His family is pretty wealthy and were liked by quite a number of people. The fact that they're ghouls was a secret best kept hidden under wraps. Shen Yuan had no trouble with keeping that secret, saying that he was a shut-in with no real accomplishments aside from not dying in rage by a specific popular novel.
Although he was an anti-social who disliked communicating with anyone, it didn't matter if you were human or ghoul, family or not, he disliked having to talk to anyone more than necessary. Plus, he just liked to remain inside.
    But today...
What can a little walk around in a park do?
Apparently, quite a bit. He watched as children ate something called "Ice Cream" and watched as they seemed to quite enjoy it. A sting of pain stung in his chest as he watched them. He sighed and walked back home, no longer caring for the view.
He looked around, silent and anti-social as the city seemed to be bustling today. He felt all icky just looking at everyone. He made it home in 30 minutes, and found a package in front of his door. He picked it up and noticed it was from his family.
Was it time for him to eat already? He sighed and just took it inside. Might as well not waste it. He locked his door behind him and sighed in content as he made it to the comfort of his own home. He set the package down and got changed into his comfort clothes.
"I'm back Binghe" He said to a poster on the wall as he walked past it.
Despite hating the novel his favorite character came from, he kept on reading it for the main character, Luo Binghe, and for the interesting beasts and flora. It all was so interesting and amazing, if the hack author didn't just turn it all into a Papapa book.
But it's whatever, as long as he gets to keep reading about his favorite character and the interesting beasts, then he can (Hopefully) ignore it. Shen Yuan turns on his T.V and decides to watch some anime, he sits down cross legged on his couch, the package next to him. He looked around and decided to watch an anime he hadn't seen in quite some time.
"Eh, One Piece doesn't sound too bad right now" Shen Yuan muttered as he clicked on it, watching from the episode he last left on.
He restarted the episode as he opened his package to eat. Once he opened the package, the sweet smell of the flesh tightly and properly wrapped made him slightly drool at the mouth. Unwrapping it he dove into the food and began eating it as he watched where he left off.
He continued to eat for thirty minutes, savoring the food as he did. Once finished he cleaned up whatever mess there was turned his T.V off and brushed his teeth. He walked to his room and turned his computer on to see his favorite, yet most hated novel. Adjusting where he was reading last and continued where he was.
Occasionally, he wrote a comment about some dumb shit the author did or wrote.
Pretty much how the hermit spent his next days. Sleeping, waking up, a bit of morning cleaning, and sitting around.
His parents pretty much sends him food twice a month for his sick condition. While it wasn't rare for a ghoul like him to be sick or defected in any way, after all, they're not all that different from people-his condition was rare, but not unheard of. The hermit, Shen Yuan, was weak from his very first breaths. Either his parents weren't sure what went wrong, or if it was a trait from one of their families.
Either way, as he grew, he needed to eat more than the average ghoul. Sure there were some ghouls who needed to eat more then he, but he still couldn't help but feel like a slob after he ate just that month, and a week or two later he needs to eat again. Ghouls needed to only eat once a month, and he and a whole group needed more. Shen Yuan wasn't complaining, some ghouls had and have it worse.
And once every other month, he'd be picked up by his mother or father or one of his siblings and sometimes his younger sister (Bless her soul) to take him to his doctor appointment. The doctor is a ghoul and had studied for a long time on ghoul anatomy and what else. (Just like a doctor, but for ghouls. In secret ofc).
Once more, waking up at the ass crack of dawn did Shen Yuan continue his daily morning cleaning (His doctor advices to keep his living spaces clean as to prevent any asthma that any amount of dust may give him.) So, 100 percent of the time his apartment complex is very, very, clean to the point it makes a normal person scared.
Since keeping his apartment clean, he's had no issues.
Well.. Up until now.

Shen Yuan had yet another coughing fit as he cleaned some dishes he ate while making his lame attempt of Scrambled Eggs. He had to stop for a moment to allow himself to continue coughing. After a moment or two, he felt fine and continued to clean his dishes.
Once finished with his "Morning Ritual", he did what he usually did after.
Read his most favorite, and his most hated novel of a lifetime.
Proud Immortal Demon Way....
"Fucking terrible writing as usual" Shen Yuan muttered as he read the newest chapter of the god awful book he subjects himself to read every. Fucking. Day.
Writing a complaint every now and then in the story. He sighed as he got up to make himself a quick cup of hot coffee since he still had yet to make one since he woke up and sat his happy ass back down.
As he finished that chapter, he was ready to write a good, long essay on how that fucking hack ass author could do better on the story, mainly his writing style as it was so bad a third grader would seem like a fucking professional. And trust when he says, thats sad. Sadder than his unfortunate condition, and that alone is saying something.
But just as he was ready to write his essay, he saw that the author posted yet another chapter.
'Two chapters in one day? Doesn't Airplane have anything better to do?' Shen Yuan thought as he wrote a simple "You suck Airplane" on the chat before going to the next chapter.
As he read, he couldn't tell if he was becoming dyslexic or not, but this chapter seems like it was being rushed and everything was going on too fast. Shen Yuan had found himself re-reading some of the paragraphs almost seven to eight times before he gave up and decided to slowly read it.
If Shen Yuan was irritated, he was beyond pissed now as he read that "Congratulations, you made it to the end of the book!~"
Shen Yuan had to get up and walk around his apartment to prevent himself from getting pissed.
He counted to 10 and back.
He took deep breaths.
Did it help?
No.
He found himself severely cussing out the author.
As he drank his coffee, he found himself beginning to choke as he hit that "Send" button. He felt the hot coffee in his lungs that were damaged already.
As he felt his vision blacken and his head heavy but fuzzy, he wrote a final reply before he died.

"Luo Binghe deserved better you fucking hack ass author!!!!"
