What made a king? What made a man that held so much power? What made that man have the title king? I ask you and everyone here... what is a king? If you asked Thorfinn he would have said power. If you asked Askeladd he would have said strength. If you asked Thors..... he would have said fools

" the only thing that makes a king is the fools that allow him to think he is higher then all " that's what Thors would have said. Yet, he was one of those fools being loyal to the king.... or was he being loyal to the prince? We shall never know because dead men can't speak. Just like the blind can't see and fools can't think..... and just like a king can't see passed his greed.

Those words feel through the royal court room. Everyone stood still as they looked upon the minister of defense. He was also a fighter in the Jomsvikings" it's been months since the last report and just today we found out that 2 months ago the ship carrying the prince was attacked by a band of.... beast...

" and where is the bodies? Of Thors and my son ?" King Sweyn asked softly... to anyone in the room they might have thought it was an innocent question from a heartbroken father but really Floki knew the king was asking this for one reason only.... to really make sure that his son and Thors was dead " you can't come into my castle and kneel before me and announce to me and the court that my son and the great Thors is dead....without any evidence. Floki, I know you're smarter then that. Unless you're not taking this seriously

" forgive me my king " Floki bows his head " I was careless and said things that could not be true.... the reports said that the ship had gone missing off the coast of the holy city and that reports say an attack on the city happened a day after the ship was taken..

" what does this have to do with the knowledge of my son and Thors bring alive or not?" Sweyn asked

" what I'm trying to say my lord is that there is no way they could be alive. " Floki dared look up at the king " why would Thors allow a bunch of beast to attack the holy city? A man like Thors would have defeated them...that leads me to believe Thors is dead and so is the prince. The prince is to young to fight off animals like those men. After all my king.... that boy isn't a God nor blessed by one .... how could he live? "

Fire engulfed yet another city and screams filled the air. It had been a few weeks at sea before they had made landfall near a small village close to the sea. Taking over it was easy after all now all they were doing was rounding up all the men and women that were trying to run away. After all that they would kill them and throw them to sea.... Askeladd would say that was a fitting death.

" you're thinking again huh? " Bajon voice appears behind him as he walked out from the woods. His sword soaked with blood " the prince refuses to kill anyone... are you sure keeping him alive was a good thing?

" Bajon, with due time the prince will be useful....till then we do the dirty work and sooner or later he will follow with us. After all....all men are monsters deep inside. " he lifted his finger pointing around the camp to each of his members of the crew " each man here is here for one reason only.... it's because we're all monsters deep down...broken and cracked up... my little crew realized it faster then most people " Askeladd crossed his arms slowly as a small smirk shows on his lips " nothing can stop monsters from destroying this world and the weakness in it.... " he closed his eyes lavishing in the moment till screams pulled him out of it and made him turn to a group of people being pushed together into a small area of the village " are those the rest of the villagers?! " Askeladd shouted out

" yes sir! " shouted one of the men and Askeladd nods slowly as he walked over to the small grassy area " good to know " his eyes roamed around every one of them wondering which one of them he would pick to satisfy him tonight " hmmm you" he pointed to a blond hair lady with green eyes. Her body was slim but some areas were just right " you'll be coming with me " Askeladd reached down grabbing the lady as he yanked her up. The lady cried harder then she was before trying to dig her heels into the dirt
