going to a carnival was unexpected, but as the days progressed, the pair found themselves doing everything together.
maybe it was just because they were all they had, but they took it to a different level.
cherry bought an entire separate bed so that ashtray could sleep in her room.
they had all 3 meals together.
whenever either of them wanted to go out, the other came with. even for meaningless tasks, like picking up dry cleaning.

their first stop was the ferris wheel. cherry helped ashtray climb into a brightly colored carriage, and it spun into the sky. the rides bright lights contrasted against the sky. cherry wished she could sit there with ashtray forever.
