TITLE:* Ghosting

SYNOPSIS*:

While passing through the forests of Sumeru, the Traveler, and his small companion stumble upon a ghost with no memories, and no past. Faced with yet another quest he can't refuse, Aether hunts down the lost history of this ghost and remind them of who they are so that they may pass.

The only problem is, how do you find the history of someone erased from it?

GENERAL IDEA: MC was from Khaenri'ah, a simple civilian. When the catastrophe that decimated their world began, they ran to Greater Lord Rukkhadevata to seek her help; not from a god, but from a friend. The Dendro Archon had her hands full with her own people and the forbidden knowledge plaguing Irminsul, but she would hate herself to leave her dear friend helpless. The only thing she can do is protect MC within Sumeru, despite how they beg for the protection of their family and friends. 

This all comes crashing down when the purification of Irminsul sets MC themself in danger, as forbidden knowledge seeps and spreads across their body like a cancer. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata sends MC to sleep in Avidya Forest, setting their body and spirit dormant as she wipes away forbidden knowledge from Irminsul. This task leaves the Dendro Archon within an inch of her life, and unable to gather the strength to wake MC, she leaves the responsibility to her next incarnation.

When Lesser Lord Kusanali was trapped within Sanctuary of Surasthana after her birth, MC was never found. The civilian was left sleeping for 500 years, their body never found, not even known by the Aranara.

With all knowledge of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata erased from Teyvat, MC effectively becomes erased as well. The only proof of their existence is their immortal body, and the overgrown tomb they were laid in.

However, through sheer culmination or determination, they awake. Or at least a part of them does. MC's spirit wakes up and wanders through Avidya Forest, with no memory, no past and no present.

MAIN CHARACTER*: MC is something like a ghost. They have no memory of how they ended up as a ghost, and little to no memory of the world itself. They are rather aloof and scatterbrained, but also very stubborn and easily frustrated.  

EXTRA DETAILS*:

━━ Only those from Khaenri'ah (Kaeya, Dainsleif, Albedo, etc.), Archons, and those not from this world (Aether, Lumine, Aloy) are able to see MC.

━━ I'm quite a fan of the "For the Love of everything I just want my sister back but by social convention I am forced to be a hero" Aether, so perhaps the dynamic could be "I can fix them (obligation)" & "i can fix him (empathy)"

━━ Perhaps Nahida discovers instructions written by someone lost to time on how to wake up their best friend?

━━ If a majority of MC's memories have Greater Lord Rukkhadevata featured in some way, what happens when they "regain" their memories?
