With Lisa traveling all over the world dancing and modeling for multiple top magazines, and Rosé settled in California where her solo artist career skyrocketed after Blackpink disbanded, it was tough trying to make long distance work. With time changes and conflicting schedules, it was a miracle if they could even get a phone call in.

That's why it's so important that they each make it home every 7th of the month, in honor of that special day so many years ago when they first met as trainees of their former agency. Now Rosé had signed a decade-long contract with UMG Entertainment and Lisa's always busy agenda was handled by one of the top talent management agencies in the world, but most importantly, they were able to come out to the world as a couple the previous year, which granted them that last piece of freedom they needed.

For the past six months, it's worked fine; Rosé takes the day off and Lisa flies home for a few days, and if the dates allow it, she stays for the weekend. It's what keeps their relationship alive and strong, it's something they can look forward to each month while they're both away doing what they love.

So when Lisa tells Rosé that she can't make it home this month, she's more than pissed. She is livid.

"What do you mean you can't make it home?"

"I just can't, Rosie, I'm sorry. We're stuck in Las Vegas and the snow is so bad, there won't be another flight out for awhile."

"Seriously?" Rosé whined, more upset with the weather than with Lisa, "Isn't there another way?"

"The roads are pretty dangerous, even the shuttle slid a couple times on the way to the hotel. I don't think it's safe."

"I can't believe this, I mean, this is our only day of the month! Why didn't you come home sooner?"

"Baby, we just got here. There was no way I could've left earlier my manager booked this flight connection from Seoul months ago. You know this isn't my fault, you can't blame me for the weather."

"I guess," Rosé frowned, she really did feel bad she was taking out her frustration on her girlfriend but she was just really upset.

"I know this sucks, baby, I wish I could be home with you right now but we're just going to have to wait a little longer."

"I don't get why you're telling me just now," Rosé mumbled, "I could've cancelled our dinner reservation hours ago and I wouldn't have gotten dressed up if I knew you wouldn't be home tonight."

"I'm so sorry, Chaeng, I really don't know what else to say."

"It's whatever, Lisa. I've got to go, call me when you find out when you're coming home."

With that, Rosé hung up and crossed her arms. She didn't mean to start bickering, but this time she was really disappointed. She looked around their penthouse, all the hard work she put into cleaning up the living room and replacing their bed set and making sure she looked super hot going right down the drain.

The next day, Rosé kept herself busy in her sound proof home studio, singing to whatever random melodies she created on her piano and taking notes of her favorite chord progressions. She had taken the weekend off in anticipation for Lisa's arrival, she even postponed a couple of really important meetings about her upcoming album, but by the looks of no new texts from the brunette, it was just going to be another day off spent working on her music.
