Rohit was sitting in his room alone after just finishing an hour long call with Vi and Jinks. The unusual quietness signalled that it was calm before the storm and it was only a matter of time before someone, anyone entered his room.
And, he was right because just fifteen seconds later the kids mainly Shubi, Yashu, Juru and Sarfu barged in and all started speaking in the same time.
Ro took a deep breath and said, "Quiet!" Everyone became silent. "Good, now take a step back all of you and do as I tell you." They followed his instruction.
"Breathe in, Breath out." He instructed and the kids followed. "Okay, now one person at a time, tell me whats up."
Shubi elbowed yashu and whispered, "Tu bata." (You tell)
Yashu gave him a glare and said, "Mein kyun yar mujhe darr lagta hai unse." but Ro heard what he said and asked, "Darrta hai tu mujhse, Yashu." (Why me dude I am scared of him)(You are scared of me Yashu?)
Yashu gave a nervous smile and said, "Pyar bhi to karta hun na." (I love you also no.)
Ro waited for someone to speak up, "Bataoge bhi ya mujhe ghuro ge?" The kids looked at each other and then Juru finally said, "We want to hang out." (Are you going to speak up or are you just going to stare at me?)
"Haan to hang out, I have no problem as long as you dont get in trouble." Ro said but seeing the kids expression he asked, "Aur kuch?" (Something else?)
"Woh bhaiya, we wanted to hang out with you." Shubi said a little nervously. Ro was taken aback. He knew the kids loved him but asking him to join a hang out session was definitely not what he had expected.
"Jassi, Ko kya hua wo nahi ja raha?" He asked and Sarfu said, "Jassi bhai is tired also we really want you to come with us." (What happened to Jassi is he not coming?)
"Mere bechara bachhe ko thaka hi diya tum logo ne, har chiz mein aj woh mang rahe the, pata hai tumhe na nahi keh sakta." Ro smiled and joked. (You guys made my poor kid tired, asking for 'Woh' in everything when you know he can't say no to you guys.)
"Sorry bhaiya." Juru said guiltily. "Lighten up mini soldier I was just joking, you guys wait outside I'll change and come." Ro said with a smile. Ro closed the door but saw the mini celebration that yashu and Shubi did.
Once Ro came out after getting ready they headed to the dining area for a proper hang out session. Ro took his seat and Yashu pushed shubi and sat next to Juru, who was sitting next to Rohit and stuck his tongue out to Shubi.
Shubi looked a little offended and sat next to Sarfu. Ro smiled to himself when he remembered how he used to sit next to Jinks and Mahi bhai to annoy Vi.
"Waise aj kar kya rahe the field mein tum sab. Pata hai Jassi daat nahin sakte iss liye kuch bhi karoge?" Ro asked trying to sound serious but the grin on his face made it hard. (By the way what were you guys doing on the field today? You know Jassi cant scold you so you'll do anything?)
"Woh thoda runs kya bana raha tha zyada bak bak kar raha tha as rightfully said by Sarfu bhai." Shubi said "Aur tum? Anderson ke sath kya hua?" Ro asked ignoring Sarfu's comment because Sarfu had a golden heart and of the field was the sweetest person.(He made some runs and was speaking too much)(And what happened with Anderson?)
"Sahi to bola na bhaiya, Usne 100 mara uske baad out hua Bairstow ne to 50 bhi nahi mara. Aur Anderson ka sach mein umar ho gaya hai aur kitne din khelenge, he said it from concern." Yashu said jumping to Shubi's defence.(He said the right thing bhaiya, he got out after scoring a hundred but Bairstow didn't even score a 50. And Anderson is getting really old how many days will he play, he said it from concern)
Ro shook his head, "What will I do with you guys, I am scared you will reach to even greater heights once Vi is here."
Sarfu smiled and said, "If you dont want then I wont say it again." Ro just patted his back.
"Waise bhi bhaiya you should be proud of us, no? We played so well." Juru said shyly since he was not used to asking for validation.
"Bhaiya is scared if he ever compliments us we will get nazar." Shubi said.
"Why do you need me to tell you? You already know I am very proud of you." Ro said.
"Oh, Bhaiya you know about the stump mic thing no?" Shubi asked and Ro nodded. People have been telling his conversations on field were leaked by stump mic.
"Look at this." Yashu took out his phone and showed him a reel of him saying.
"BhenchOd koi bhi garden mein ghumega to ma chOd dunga uski"
Ro read the caption which was parents: Sharma ji ke bete se sikho meanwhile Sharma ji ka beta
He scrolled through the comments and laughed at the creativity. "Who was I saying this to?" Ro enquired forgetting
"Us of course, who else." Shubi said and Ro got an idea.
After chatting a little longer they took a picture together and Ro said, "Post karta hun tum logon ko wait." (I'll post you guys wait)
