the moon understands me,
she is the only one that does.
for she too reveals herself in the dark of the night,
for she shines brightest when no one is watching.
her beauty is incapable of being captured.
but within her beauty,
there are craters and cracks.
the moon is not perfect.
but it is her imperfections that make her beautiful.
the moon is quiet.
her light does not blind you,
it guides you.
she will be there during your darkest nights,
but even the moon has her dark nights too.
and despite how low her light shines,
she will always be there.
and so will i.
