"You imprinted!?" Emily Young, Sam's imprint and Leah's second cousin, exclaims gleefully. "Please tell me you're not going to reject it..."
"I don't know what I'm gonna do," Leah admits. While Sam went to grab a shower and the others went off to do their own thing, she came to talk to Emily. "That's why I'm here. I need some Em-Advice."
Emily smiles a little. "Like old time?" she asks.
"Like old times," Leah replies. "Her name is Athena Cullen..."
"A Cullen?" Emily's eyes widen. "You imprinted on a vampire?"
"Yeah." Leah shrugs. "She was a child of the moon before, an actual full-moon werewolf. Her gift is humanity, and she's gorgeous."
"How do you feel about imprinting?" Emily asks softly as she sits on the counter.
"Relieved," Leah replies as Sam listens upstairs once he's towel drying. "Once I met her eyes, each feeling I ever had for Sam... disappeared. They evaporated. They're gone. I can finally move past him imprinting on you. That anger and jealousy is gone, too, Em."
"I'll tell you what," Emily says. "Talk to the Elders and then think about what you want to do."
Leah nods her head. "Thanks for the Em-Advice," she says and she stands up. "I've missed you."
Emily pulls her cousin into a tight hug. "I've missed you, too," she whispers. "I'm so happy for you," she adds.
Leah leaves and she goes home to ask Sue to invite Quill Sr. and Billy Black over and when they come, she tells them all about her imprint and it makes Sue's entire demeanor light up.
