Upon A Full Moon

(written on November 14, 2023) All I have to say is that it's lesbian and sad.

The moon glowed bright as the earths light.

The river flowed with a calm breeze,

Occasional ripples as though the notes of a piano played.

The trees stood still towering over the big rocks at the shore like a shelter;

Under their shadow a nice cold air.

The grass of a dark green tickled beneath her bare feet.

The sky filled with stars,

The Milky Way dancing its heart away.

The living slept while the dead rested;

But a girl sat at the shore looking into the abyss.

The night painted a wicked fairytale,

Magical by each breath till it slowly seeped into a gloom.

The girl sat alone but on her mind was only her.

The girl thought of her,

Angelic like the ripples in the river,

The stars reminded her of the pure iridescent eyes which she always said looked like lisianthus flowers.

Her pretty skin smouldering with light,

And her pure smile,

The only thing that gave the girl lavish joy.

The girl sat on a boulder with her feet now in the cold water;

Her mind raced with every memory,

Every little adventure on that very land,

Every innocent playful little touch that released a heard of butterflies,

The laughter they shared day on end,

Now haunting her like a ghost.

The girl's heart was beating fast,

Her smile turned into tears.

For it was now all but a memory which left a dagger stabbed in her heart that no other soul would ever recover.

The girl sat haunted with chills for it was too late,

The girl never told her the truth,

Never even shared a single kiss.

The girl sat sobbing,

Clenching at the lilac crystal around her neck,

For it was all she had left of this girl.

The girl stared at the full moon,

Eyes wet,

All night long,

All alone.
