To my future children

There will come a time,

When I will have children.

Where time will materialize,

Ultimately creating but an extension

Of my very essence,

A glimpse of a new generation,

Carrying my likeness,

A piece of my soul.

A fragment of my legacy,

A mind of its own,

Embraced with love and care,

But ultimately faced,

With the unavoidable task.

Facing this world,

And Its pitfalls.

I fear,

I fear for him,

For her,

For their future journey,

This world is beautiful,

Bountiful,

Filled with love,

And many interesting things.

It is also filled with wickedness,

With evil at every corner,

Looking to corrupt

Those with a kind heart.

Constricting,

Contorting blazes,

Of everlasting pain await a soul,

A life coming from me,

A soul yet to exist,

I worry for...

Something yet to live,

Ive yet to see,

Ive yet to love,

A breath yet to be sent into existence,

A plan yet to be so much as in motion,

I live... therefore,

I fear,

To be a man worthy,

Of taking such a task.
