"Um, Ryder? Would it be okay if I went out for a walk? I'll be right back."
"I'll come with you."
"No!" I said too quickly. "I just need some time alone to think."
"I don't like the thought of leaving you alone."
"I'll be fine. I doubt I can find my way out of this place anyways."
"Alright then," Ryder said giving me a skeptic look.
"Thank you!" I spun around and quickly walked out the door.
After a couple minutes of frantically walking around the castle, I took a turn that led me straight to the outer courts. I let out a sigh of relief as I saw the tree line and ran straight toward it letting the trees envelope me in their comfort.
I felt Jasmine stirring in my subconscious with worry.
Are you okay?
No I am definitely NOT okay! What happened back there?
I have no idea.
This is too much. I have a mom that's dead, a psychotic father, I'm a freaking wolf that's "mated" to someone apparently, and becoming a psycho myself!
You're not a psycho.
Then what the heck is wrong with me?!
I pulled myself back into the real world where everything that shouldn't be real, is real. Who am I kidding? This was no longer a real world.
"I HATE THIS!" I screamed throwing a punch at a tree but seeing a fire ball fly out of my hand at it instead lighting up the tree in a blaze of glory.
"Hayden!" Ryder called running out from the trees behind me. I spun around to face him and watched as his eyes widened at the tree. "What happened?" He asked looking back at me.
"I-I-I..." I started shaking.
"Ryder!" I watched as guards came out from behind trees. "We saw the smoke! What's going on?" Ryder looked at me and I started trembling.
I looked down at my hands to see they were shaking uncontrollably and the rest of my body started to shake too. All of a sudden I felt drained, like I had no power left within me whatsoever. I looked up at Ryder who had started running towards me as I fell to the ground with my world turning black.

"Shh, she's waking up."
"Everybody get out of here."
The door closed as I opened my eyes to see that I was in the infirmary again. Ryder was sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Looks like you're making a habit of putting yourself in here," Ryder joked.
I immediately sat up and moved myself as far away from him bringing my knees up to my chin.
"Hey, what's wr-"
"Stay away!" I screamed as Ryder started to move towards me.
"Hayden? What's the matter? It's not like you're going to hurt me."
"I am! I did," I said looking up at him. "I saw the bruise I gave you. I'm not clumsy. I caused everything to fly off your desk. I went into the forest and threw a fire ball at that tree!"
"No, that's impossible..."
"Is it? Think about it Ryder. There was no one else there! And a match can't light up an entire tree!"
