(The trailer begins with the gang watching a slideshow of various images conducted by Playtime Co. employees whose identities go unknown. The first image presents an eerie scene of three employees in hazmat suits ominously watching children in Home Sweet Home while they sleep. The faces of the children are scratched out with a black pen, hinting towards their gruesome fates. The second image features a lineup of four children against a wall, one with a Huggy Wuggy-themed shirt and another who appears to awkwardly hold their own arm; all four of the children's faces are scratched out as well. And finally, the third image is of a document detailing Experiment 1188, otherwise known as CatNap, and was originally revealed in the Chapter 3 Interactable ARG that ended a couple months prior to the trailer's release. Additionally, a photo of a child, presumably Theodore Grambell, rests atop the document, connecting the boy and the fate he succumbed to.)

Wallace: Oh no.

Cadpig: So, that's what happened to Theodore.

(The projector turns off and they see a faint shadow of CatNap looms over them ominously on the wall behind them.)

All: (Gasps)

Lucky: CatNap is right behind us.

Tommy: Don't move.

(The camera cuts to an overhead shot of Playcare and its various locales. In the middle of the orphanage stands a pillar with seven statues for each of the Smiling Critters, save for CatNap. The outer walls of the orphanage are a facade that act as a sky and clouds to present an illusion to the orphans.)

Elliot Ludwig: Playcare - our very own on-site orphanage.

(A voice in the background, presumably Elliot Ludwig, booms "Playcare - our very own on-site orphanage" while fading into a close-up of the school. Behind it, the faux sky is ripped open to reveal the behind the scenes. Elliot continues, "but it's not only that.")

Elliot Ludwig: But it's not only that; it's a school...

(Afterwards, the camera fades into a classroom while Elliot says "it's a school". The scene shows five chairs gathered around a television displaying static beside a yellow VHS player. A mural of "Huggy Wuggy", DogDay, Mommy Long Legs, and Boxy Boo is painted on the wall behind it, albeit faded.)

Elliot Ludwig: A Playhouse...

(The camera fades into a shot of the Playhouse, followed by a shot of the foyer in Home Sweet Home with a chandelier encapsulating a crescent moon dangle from the ceiling, alongside a star-shaped box on the floor alongside a door baring a sun symbol.

Elliot Ludwig: A place to belong.

(Elliot precedes to cap off his speech saying, "a place to belong", before fading to a shot of a bedroom with multiple beds and large, gaping holes in the floor.)

Cadpig: You got to admit. This does look like a good place.

Lucky: It really does.

(Suddenly, the video cuts to body-cam footage in a playroom where the gang turns around to find red gas filling the room. In the next shot, the aftermath of the train crash that occurred at the end of Chapter 2: Fly in a Web is shown, depicting a blazing fire and debris around the train. The next scene is the first to utilize the scene in the trailer, featuring the gang as they walk past a statue of Bobby BearHug in Home Sweet Home that follows them creepily.)

Ollie: The kids used to live here, now look at it!

(At this point, Tommy wields a purple hand that is shown to propel the gang. In the background, Ollie says "kids used to live here, now look at it" as the camera cuts to Tommy acquiring an orange hand for the GrabPack 2.0, that acts as a flare gun with a limited supply of ammo. This mechanic is used in the next shot to illuminate various areas and ward off enemies.)

Ollie: Every shadow and every flickering light is a hiding spot. And when you're at your most vulnerable, he'll kill you.

(The voice continues, "every shadow and every flickering light is a hiding spot. And when you're at your most vulnerable, he'll kill you". During this, several scenes play, such as the gang gazing up at a map listing the various locations in Playcare, such as Home Sweet Home, the Toy Store, the School, the Counselor's Office, and the Playhouse. A clip of the gang completing a puzzle involving the green hand plays before the camera cuts to a shot of a cave. The gang then catapults themselves across a gap with the purple hand, followed by a continuation of the body-cam footage where CatNap appears, enveloped in poppy gas. The camera cuts to the gang solving an intricate "hand-cannon" puzzle in the recesses of the facility and then shows the player tossing a large battery into a socket to open a door.

Ollie: Playcare is his church, his hunting ground - Whatever he wants it to be.

(Tommy then shoots a flare down a long, padded corridor, followed by a scene of the gang wearing Gas Masks. All the while, the voice says "Playcare is his church--his hunting ground. Whatever he wants it to be". In the next shot, Poppy Playtime then says "I know what happened, and why. This is your answer." while Wile E. Coyote winds up a large toy car to break open a door.)

Poppy Playtime: You want to know what happened, and why.

Timon: Yeah! What happened here?

Tommy: And what happened to the other workers?

Wallace: Please, Poppy! We need to know what really happened here at Playtime Co.!

Poppy Playtime: This is your answer.

(We then see the gang coming across a VHS tape labeled "The Hour of Joy". The trailer revisits the body-cam footage and shows the recorder running away from CatNap. The next shot finds the gang in the school, confronting Miss Delight who utilizes the flicker of a light to approach the gang before cutting to a scene where the player utilizes the purple hand to propel themselves back and forth, landing safely on a ledge. The camera switches to a shot of a cave system with many walkways and platforms. Following this, Tommy shoots a flare at a living plush doll of DogDay chasing them through a series of tunnels, forcing the doll to retreat into the darkness. Exiting said tunnels, the gang enters a room with a tunnel above them with the word "RUN" written on it and various toys hanging from the ceiling. The next shot shows a cutscene of Kissy Missy with Poppy in the Playcare. Afterwards, the gang runs through a hallway illuminated by a red light with the word "HELP" written on the wall at the end of it. A nightmare form of Huggy Wuggy then chases the gang through Home Sweet Home, before the individual in the body-cam footage falls to the ground, and the video cuts.)

Supervisor: All that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors, smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic.

(An unknown voice begins to speak, saying "all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors." while children cry in the background. The footage returns with poppy gas flooding the corridor. CatNap approaches the camera as the voice continues, "smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic." and "this world is theirs now." Finally, the Bigger Bodies CatNap is shown in full before cutting to black.)

Supervisor: Welcome Home.

(As the screen was black, we hear a little girl's voice.)

???: Theodore? It's me!

???: Sis? Tara?
