it stops moments in time and saves them in your heart

that type of authentic love disappeared
with the flash of technology
it made us forget what we are originally
our feet left the ground the day social media was revealed
the day they made social interaction a numeric thing
i think that is part of why our generation is miserable
we've forgotten what life is truly
life is special encounters
life is eye contacts in the street
life is asking yourself "what's for dinner tonight?"
life is experiencing the world around you
life is about going places where you might find light
life is about feeling the grass tickle your toes
life is about watching the clouds and trying to find out what they might represent
life is about letting sand fall in between your fingers
life is about staring at the stars
life is about doing a puzzle with a friend
life is about going outside to enjoy the rain
life is about not throwing it down the drain
life is about feeling each other
life is about seeing each other
life is about drinking hot chocolate on a cold afternoon
life is about reading a book with a cup of tea
not spending hours looking at people you'll never meet
not seeing places you want to see
through a screen
not raging over someone you'll never be
