Guardo minha última mala dentro do carro, e agora era apenas esperar meu pai para me levar até o aeroporto e finalmente realizar meu grande sonho.

(I put my last suitcase in the car, and now I just had to wait for my father to take me to the airport and finally make my big dream come true.)

-Já está pronta? - diz meu pai com as chaves do carro em suas mãos vindo em minha direção

(-Are you ready yet? - says my father with the car keys in his hands coming towards me )

-Faz tempo - rio

(-It's been a while) 

-Se despediu da sua mãe? - diz ele entrando no carro e o ligando

(-Did you say goodbye to your mother? - he says, getting in the car and starting it)

-Já, agora é só ir até o aeroporto - digo sentando no banco de passageiro e fechando a porta do carro

(-Okay, now just go to the airport - I say, sitting in the passenger seat and closing the car door) 

-Então vamos- diz meu pai dando partida no carro e saindo da garagem - Ainda não acredito que está fazendo isso!

(-So let's go- says my father, starting the car and leaving the garage - I still can't believe you're doing this!)

-Isso oque? Indo atrás dos meus sonhos? - digo num leve tom de deboche

(-This what? Going after my dreams? - I say in a slight mocking tone)

-Sim, não é querendo desmerecer você filha, mas eu não teria coragem de abandonar minha família e morar em outro país - diz meu pai com os olhos brilhando

(-Yes, I'm not trying to belittle you, daughter, but I wouldn't have the courage to abandon my family and live in another country - says my father, his eyes shining)

-Sr.Marcelo, não precisa ficar emotivo não, eu sempre vou visitar vocês quando puder e ainda mais vou sempre ligar pra vocês, eu acho que deveria estar feliz pois se tudo der certo, eu estarei na sua TV - digo rindo

(-Mr. Marcelo, there is no need to be emotional, I will always visit you when I can and even more so I will always call you, I think I should be happy because if everything goes well, I will be on your TV - I say laughing)

-É, você tem razão Sr.Ana - ao dizer isso caímos na gargalhada

(-Yes, you're right, Mr.Ana - when we said that we burst out laughing)

Ligo meu Bluetooth e coloco músicas bem educativas no carro, aliás em L.A não poderem ouvir essas músicas no meu dia a dia já que ninguém de lá conhece outras músicas do Brasil a não ser "Parado no Bailão e Michel Telo"

(I turn on my Bluetooth and play very educational songs in the car, in fact in LA I can't listen to these songs in my daily life as no one there knows other songs from Brazil other than "Parado no Bailão and Michel Telo")

-Se sua mãe estivesse aqui no carro, você levaria uns cacete por colocar esse tipo de música- diz meu pai sério

(-If your mother was here in the car, you would get kicked for playing that kind of music- says my father seriously)

-Você sabe o nome dessa música pra estar julgando?

(-Do you know the name of this song to be judging?)

-Sei, "Viva a Putaria, Vai Ser Pau na Suas Amigas" eu não te criei pra ouvir essa baboseira não menina

(-I know, "Viva a Putaria, Vai Ser Pau na Sua Amigas" I didn't raise you to listen to that nonsense, girl)

-Kakak, pai pela mor né, em pleno século 21?

(-Kakak, my father, right, in the 21st century?)

-Ok, vou ficar quieto

(-Okay, I'll be quiet)

O caminho foi bem tranquilo, tirando que eu fiquei cantando o mais alto possível mas né, ninguém é de ferro. Chegamos no aeroporto e meu pai me ajudou a despachar as malas e quando finalmente deu a hora de entrar dentro do avião, senti arrepios em minha pele, acho que não estava TÃO preparada pra isso

(The path was very peaceful, except that I sang as loud as possible, but you know, no one is made of iron. We arrived at the airport and my father helped me check my bags and when it was finally time to get on the plane, I felt goosebumps on my skin, I guess I wasn't SO prepared for that).

-Então... acho que isso é um até logo né.. - digo com lágrimas nos olhos

(-So... I think this is a see you later, right... - I say with tears in my eyes)

-Sabe que eu odeio despedida, então só me abraça logo e fala que vai voltar, e entre naquele avião sem olhar pra trás- meu pai diz chorando

(-You know I hate goodbyes, so just hug me and say you're going to come back, and get on that plane without looking back- my father says crying)

-Até papai, vou sentir saudades - abraço o mesmo, que retribuiu e diz para eu voltar logo, que não era para eu esquecer eles. Nós desfazemos do abraço e vou em direção ao embarque, e quando vejo meu pai não estava mais em minhas vistas...

(-Even dad, I'm going to miss you - I hug him, who reciprocates and tells me to come back soon, that I wasn't supposed to forget them. We broke the hug and I headed towards boarding, and when I saw my father he was no longer in my sight...)

Um novo capítulo está pra acontecer em minha vida, nesse exato momento estou dentro do avião olhando a janelinha dele, esperando decolar para uma nova etapa começar.

(A new chapter is about to happen in my life, at this exact moment I'm inside the plane looking at its little window, waiting to take off for a new stage to begin)
