Very accurate 2 lore. u need 2 know like everything there is 2 fully understandthe fic. *that's why I love it so much* accurately showing the type of abuse u wolud get in a cult and not just "Travis's dad gets drunk and abuses him" as that's not accurate 2 the extreme of abuse a kid in a cult would get.
Things I'm typing well reading:
first off LOVE this fic already it only chapter 1 and its alreadythe BEST travis fic I've seen yet. the way the writer gets Sal and Travis close is such i smart idea when done right. Kenneth seems like a real person and interesting villain outside of "alcoholic dad" stereotype that the fandom puts him in. it's not even likely that he would consume alcohol or get drunk because of the religion and cult.
I love his and Larry's dynamic i wish more ppl did this. awww him thinking about Sal in a non romantic way was cute ngl. YES ADDING UNPOPULAR CHARACTERS W ROBERT FR. also I charged my mind about Kenneth never having any alcohol it makes sense that he would get drunk I guess. but I still find it annoying when a bunch of fanfics make it so that Kenneth is entire personality is beating Travis and being an alcoholic I think he is much more intelligent controlling and manipulative then ppl make him out 2 be. I mean he literally has full power of the loacl political system. I think about one in five people in the town are a cultist and because of this Travis is constantly being watched either by the cameras in the Addison apartment or by local police or teachers at school.
I LOVE KENNETHS CHARTCHER SO MUCH ITS THE BEST VERSION AND PROBABLY MOST LORE ACCURATE IVE SEEN HIMMM.
