As she'd agreed to, Sarah visited Sirius after her meeting with Professor Dumbledore. She apparated into Grimmauld Place with a crack. The square was empty, which was relieving. Sarah had made a hasty, stupid decision to apparate in broad daylight. A muggle could have easily seen her.

She felt the hairs on her neck stand up. She kept her wand out, spinning in a circle to survey her surroundings. She felt like she was being watched.

Although, her newfound paranoia may have been caused by revisiting the battle of the Department of Mysteries.

Either way, Sarah couldn't risk having someone watch her enter Sirius' house.

"Homenum Revelio," Sarah swept her wand as far as she could.

The exaggerated movement wasn't necessary, as the person watching her appeared in front of her.

Capri stood a couple of meters away, an alarmed expression crossing her face. She was wrapped up in her winter cloak, with a checkered scarf wrapped loosely around her neck. The hem of the black wool cloak tickled the tips of her winter boots. Her blonde hair was hidden underneath a knitted hat, with a pom pom on the top.

Sarah felt her blood run cold at the sight of her flatmate. Or perhaps a disguised Death Eaters. Neither of those possibilities was ideal.

Sarah was quick to raise her wand, "What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing, actually!" Capri retorted.

The pair stared each other down for a moment before Sarah had the sense to do the identity check.

"What's Capri's least favourite fabric to work with?"

Capri rolled her eyes, "Leather."

Sarah lowered her wand, beginning to realise the depth of trouble she was in. There was no way she could lie out of this or think of an excuse or anything of the sort. She would have to tell Capri the truth, and Sarah was well aware that Capri couldn't keep a secret.

"Are you not going to check me?" Sarah asked, fidgeting.

"I know you're you. I've been tailing you since you left the shop," Capri answered, crossing her arms.

"Why?" Sarah demanded, her heart racing away.

"Let's go inside. It looks like we have a lot to discuss," Capri ignored her question, striding past her to the front door of Sirius' house.

"I wasn't expecting either of you," Sirius said casually, having led them to the basement kitchen.

The fireplace was lit, making the room feel too hot. On the table was a bottle of butter beer and the Daily Prophet. Sirius sat down in his seat, and Sarah followed suit due to her trembling legs. Capri remained standing, which was the first sign that the following conversation was going to be messy.

"See, I don't think that's true," Capri began, staring daggers at the both of them. "Shall I tell you what I think?"

"Uh -" Sirius said, glancing at Sarah.

Sarah tried to keep her expression neutral, but all she could think about was Fred. He would be so angry when he found out what she'd been up to!

"I think that Sarah was coming here to meet you, Sirius, and that you were fully aware of it," Capri stated, beginning to pace across the length of the kitchen.

"Capri - " Sarah began, her voice wavering.

"In fact, I know that this meeting was planned. My protective charms on the flat pick up magical energy. 'Lo and behold, looks whose magical energy was present in the flat around the time Sarah received her letter from Professor Dumbledore," Capri shot daggers at Sirius.
