On the morning of November 21st, the girls were getting ready for the first Hogsmeade trip of the year. Sarah decided to get her Christmas presents now, seeing as the closer it got to Christmas, the busier the shops were. Hogsmeade was a relatively large village, so when the festivities began, it got incredibly busy.
"I can't believe I got high. Are you sure? I wouldn't usually take drugs, not really my forte," Sarah said, glancing at Patricia through the mirror.
"100% certain. It was a weird experience for us too," Patty replied, brushing through her hair.
"That's crazy," Sarah whispered to herself, before straightening out her jumper.
Angelina and Sarah were both ready to go, but Alicia woke up late and was rushing to get herself together, whilst Patricia took ages to get ready anyway.
"You know what. I'm going to wait for you lot downstairs," Angelina piped up, before disappearing from the dormitory.
"Why is she acting weird?" Sarah asked Alicia and Patricia, who shot each other a look.
"I'm not sure, Sarah," Alicia said in her most convincing voice, but Sarah didn't fail to see the look they shared.
"Oh, ok," Sarah replied and decided to head downstairs. She found George in the common room on the sofa near the fireplace. She plopped down into the seat beside him.
"Hey, tin!" George chimed.
"Hey, Weasel," Sarah replied, but she sounded put out.
"What's up with you?"
"Oh, nothing,"
"Sarah! - "
"Alright, alright. I think my friends are keeping a secret from me."
"Alicia and Patricia?"
"Yes."
"I think they might be too."
Sarah was about to reply, but George's words finally settled in. She turned to him, his eyes meeting hers. It didn't take Sarah long to realise he was being dead serious.
"You're kidding," Sarah whispered.
"No. The other day, when you were a bit - coo-koo - Angelina got all angry after you flirted with Fred. She basically called you insane, but you were high, so you couldn't defend yourself. Then, Alicia and Patricia shared a look, like - " George began.
" - Like they were keeping a secret," Sarah finished, whilst George nodded.
"Wait?! I flirted with Fred?!" Sarah panicked.
"Yes."
"Oh no!" Sarah groaned, putting her head in her hands.
"You like him, don't you?" George whispered, his eyes wide.
"Yes, and so does Angelina," Sarah whispered, causing a sound of realisation to come from George.
"That makes so much sense. That's why she got angry," George whispered.
"George. I told Ali and Patty that I wouldn't try anything," Sarah muttered.
"You have other things to worry about, you know. Fred thinks you're into me because you wrapped your arms around my neck, danced with me and sang a song about love," George said rapidly. Sarah lifted her head from her hands, her mouth open in shock.
"I did that! Oh my!" Sarah gasped, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"If it makes you feel better, we're in the same boat, kinda," George told her. Sarah's head shot in his direction.
