A father alone

A father takes his six,

A new school, for three,

The same halls for the other three;

Of five to sixteen,

He's the MVP of the team.

The same game,

He had faced before.

The attendants face a bore.

A new employee,

Suspicious of the man,

No mother in sight.

Single he claims,

A father alone.

She asks for proof,

So he remains aloof.

He fought back,

But she continued her attack.

So he caves in,

And shows his proof.

Pictures of the adoption certificates,

With added words of support,

The eldest chimes in;

Showing more proof.

Little videos and clips,

And a friend eating chips.

The youngest three,

Their final trip,

The father sighs in relief,

And calm as a leaf,

He makes his final leave.

A game now over,

To play something new,

another day.
