Severus Snape. Golden Trio Era

The Hogwarts Express chugged its way towards the iconic castle, and Y/N couldn't shake off the whirlwind of emotions swirling within her. It had been years since she'd stepped foot in Hogwarts, yet the memories of her time there felt as fresh as if they had happened yesterday.

As the train pulled into Hogsmeade Station, Y/N took a deep breath, steeling herself for the reunion that awaited her. She had returned to Hogwarts not as a student this time, but as a visiting professor, invited by Headmistress McGonagall herself to share her expertise in magical theory.

Making her way through the familiar corridors of Hogwarts, Y/N's heart fluttered with anticipation and a hint of trepidation. She knew that her return would bring her face to face with ghosts from her past, chief among them Severus Snape, her former flame.

Their relationship had been passionate yet fraught with challenges, and when Y/N had left Hogwarts all those years ago, she had also left behind a piece of her heart with Severus. Now, as she prepared to work alongside him once more, she couldn't help but wonder if the old feelings that had once burned so brightly still lingered beneath the surface.

It didn't take long for Y/N to find herself standing outside the door to Severus Snape's classroom, her heart pounding in her chest as she raised her hand to knock. The sound echoed through the empty corridor, and moments later, the door swung open to reveal Severus Snape himself, his dark eyes narrowing as they met Y/N's gaze.

"Y/N," he greeted coolly, his voice sending a shiver down her spine. "What brings you back to Hogwarts after all this time?"

"I've been invited to join the faculty as a visiting professor," Y/N replied, trying to keep her voice steady despite the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. "I'll be assisting with magical theory under Professor McGonagall's supervision."

Severus Snape's expression remained unreadable as he stepped aside to allow Y/N to enter the classroom. As they began to work together once more, the air crackled with tension, each passing moment bringing them closer to the inevitable confrontation they both knew was coming.

It wasn't long before the dam burst, and the flood of unresolved emotions spilled forth like water breaking through a barrier. Y/N and Severus found themselves locked in a heated exchange, their words tinged with regret and longing as they confronted the ghosts of their past.

Amidst the chaos of their emotions, Y/N couldn't help but notice the way Severus looked at her – with a mixture of pain and desire that mirrored her own.

"You left without a word," Snape's voice was low, filled with bitterness. "Do you have any idea what that did to me?"

"I had to," Y/N countered, her voice trembling slightly. "You know I couldn't stay, not with everything that was happening."

"And you couldn't even say goodbye?" Snape's tone was accusatory, but there was a hint of vulnerability lurking beneath the surface.

"I thought it would be easier," Y/N admitted, her gaze dropping to the floor. "But every day without you felt like a punishment."

Silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken words and unresolved feelings.

"I never stopped loving you," Snape's voice was barely a whisper, but it echoed loudly in the confines of the classroom.

Y/N looked up, meeting his gaze with a mixture of hope and fear.

"Neither did I," she confessed, her heart pounding in her chest.

And in that moment, as they stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun filtering through the classroom windows, Y/N knew that their love was not a thing of the past, but a flame that had been waiting patiently to be reignited once more.
