Streets of Málaga

I wander like a foreigner who does not know these streets or their angles,
But your eyes make songs of a place you've grown to love,
And so I know it, too.

Like a night in the streets of Málaga,
I wish to show you
those nights you longed for
once again,
The streetlight's warmth trickling through those old
Cobblestone veins
Rustic, earthy, true,
and somehow new.

A love for this land that
you felt in your bones,
and you let me feel yours in mine now
As those eyes sing longer, broader of their time and of their love.

All of these new songs,
a familiar tune,
One of love,
Of culture,
And of the human experience

And though a wanderer in this place I've yet to travel, I love her too
Because everything you love
Is suddenly made tangible to my heart.
