Chapter Forty Two

I let out a deep sigh habang nakatingin sa ceiling. Maaga na pero hindi pa rin ako makatulog, may araw na rin ng umuwi sila, hindi na rin ako nag aalala dahil alam kong kasama nila sila kuya sa pag uwi.

"Love?" tawag ni Liam sa akin.

Umayos siya ng higa at tumingin sa akin. Dito ko na siya pinatulog dahil anong oras na rin hindi rin ako mapapakali kung uuwi pa siya.

"Yes?" sagot ko pero nasa ceiling lang ang tingin ko.

"What's on your mind?"

"You."

"Why? I'm here and safe, Love." he scooted over and hugged me tightly.

"I know but I can't help to think about it now that he's here."

"Love, you have to rest your mind please. I can take care of myself."

I look at him seriously.

"I despise that man for what he did to you. I want to talk to him and ask him why he did that to you if he loves you like what he said."

"You will not do that, Nini!"

"He gave you trauma, Love."

"But I'll die if something bad happens to you."

"Love —"

"Promise me not to do that."

Saglit niya akong tiningnan bago siya hesitant na tumango.

"Please let me know your location all the time, if you see him don't let him approach you and let me know immediately."

"Love, I can take care of myself really."

"I know you can but for my peace of mind. Please, let's do that."

"Okay, Love." he smiled and pulled me even closer as he kissed me on my head. "Give me your phone."

Nagtataka ko siyang tiningnan saglit bago ko inabot ang cellphone ko sa kanya. Tiningnan ko lang siya habang binubuksan niya ang cellphone ko sunod ay nag install siya ng isang application sa pareho naming phone at kinalikot pa niya saglit iyon bago binalik sa akin.

"It's a shared location application, one of my team developed this." he said with a smile.

"Okay. This is great."

"You can always check my location, Love. As long as my phone is turned on."

I smile at him before hugging him tightly and I buried my face on his chest.

"Let's sleep now, Love." he whispered in my ears.

"Good night, Nini."

"Good night, Love. I love you."

"I love you too."

I look at him and he kiss me on lips bago kami nakangiting pumikit at nakatulog ng magkayakap. Halos mag gagabi na ng magising ako at wala na si Liam sa tabi ko. Mabilis akong tumayo at lumabas ng kwarto doon ko siya naabutan na nagluluto.

"Nini." tawag ko sa kanya.

"Good morning, Love."

"Good morning."

We both laugh. Naglakad ako papalapit sa kanya at niyakap siya mula sa likod.

"What are you cooking?" I asked him.
