Two weeks. That's how long it'd been since Amelie had run out of Sam's room and ever since she had been ignoring him. In her mind she wasn't ignoring him... she just wasn't answering his texts, his phone calls and, not to mention coming up with excuses why she wasn't going to make it over whenever Colby invited her.

When she had woken up on January first, her cheek was pressed against his back and his hand was holding hers against his chest. She had woken up a little groggy and, after pulling away snippets of the night before, came flashing before her eyes.

Amelie remembered bumping into her ex, she remembered talking to at least twenty people - something she was glad she had done because she knew she wouldn't have done it sober - she remembered Colby dragging her around the house like a rag doll and most importantly she remembered what had happened when the clock struck midnight. No, she didn't have to run out of the house, losing a glass slipper in the meantime, because her fairy godmother made her a magical dress and turned her mice into horses, but she asked her best friend to kiss her, and the worst thing was, he did it.

Amelie had run out of the house ten minutes after waking up, taking Carmen with her as she did.

She was still yet to talk about what happened, even with Sam. If she talked about it, she had to deal with the consequences of her actions, and he was sure, he wouldn't remember anyway... would he?

He did.

He remembered the second she asked, he remembered exactly what it was like to kiss her, and especially the way she had looked at him before she was taken away by the crowd of people surrounding them. If it wasn't for the fact he threw the party, he would have thrown everyone out - including Colby and Carmen - and kissed her again.

If he said he hadn't missed her in the past two weeks he'd be lying, but the fact she was ignoring him gave Sam hope. The fact she wouldn't respond meant she also knew what had happened that night, and that meant he had a chance - call him delusional, but he was taking it.

Amelie hated herself for not answering, but she couldn't. The thought of him not remembering made her heart hurt, and she wouldn't embarrass herself by bringing it up.

What if he had just kissed her because she was the closest warm body to him? Because he was drunk? She refused to be that girl. The girl that chased after a guy because they kissed once.

It's not like she could talk to him now even if she wanted. He was away, shooting a video and Amelie didn't want to impose. She knew he would answer if she did text him, but what was she to say? Oh, hey, sorry for ignoring you for the past fourteen days, but I was just wondering if you hate me?

It was already awkward enough, but she was making it worse. If she had just waited for him to wake up, everything would have been okay, but now it wasn't.
