Wounds Unhealed

In shadows deep, where sorrow dwells,
A heart deprived, a mournful knell.
Thursday's veil, a decade gone,
Yet pain persists, a lingering song.

A grandmother's embrace, now but a dream,
Her absence keen, a silent scream.
Another mother, a guiding light,
Extinct, extinguished, swallowed by night.

Saturday's stain, a mark profound,
Innocence stolen, without a sound.
A soul laid bare, a shattered trust,
In the dark abyss, forever lost.

Easter's arrival, a bitter taste,
No solace found, no joy embraced.
A holiday stained with memories grim,
Echoes of trauma, shadows within.

In every whisper of the wind,
In every tear that's left unshed,
In every echo of a laugh,
A haunting echo of the past.

The weight of grief, a chain so dire,
Each link a memory, a raging fire.
No solace found in the shroud of night,
Only darkness, only endless fright.
A haunting specter, relentless fight.

A heart once whole, now torn asunder,
By the cruel hand of fate, by thunder.
In the depths of despair, we silently weep,
As sorrow spiral, ever deeper, creep.

No refuge found in the light of day,
No escape from the sorrow's sway.
Just endless torment, an endless fight,
In the desolate landscape of endless night.
