"I swear to god, Winnie! Give it back!"

"I haven't got your stupid vibrator, Addie! I have my own and, even if I didn't, why on earth would I use yours? That's just disgusting."

Adelaide clenched her jaw, nostrils flaring ever so slightly. Her sister, Winnie, had made a good point, but, if she didn't steal it, who did? Certainly not her mother - she was rarely at the house, let alone searching through her daughter's room.

"No one else could have stolen it but you, Winnie. We're the only ones in the house and it was there before the party." She shouted back, jabbing a finger at the chester drawers that sat in one corner of her room.

Winnie laughed, shaking her head. "You hide it there? Are you being serious? That's such a rookie hiding place."

Rolling her eyes, Addie crossed her arms, looking at her sister suspiciously. "Oh really? So where, pray tell, do you hide yours? Under the floorboards?"

"Precisely." Was all Winnie responded with before spinning around and walking smartly out of the bedroom, her voice sharp?

Anger flaring in her chest, Adelaide found herself chasing after her sister before she could stop herself.

"I'm being serious, Winnie! I want it back now."

The older girl sighed as she opened the door of her room. "I think you'll find that I'm just as serious as you claim to be. I haven't got your bloody vibrator, for Christ's sake!"

Following her into the room, Adelaide scoffed, throwing her arms up in the air. "Oh really? Was it the boogieman who stole it then?"

Winnie froze for a second before slowly turning around, a strange look in her eye as the corners of her mouth twitched up into a small smile, making her look deranged. "No, it wasn't the boogieman - but I'll bet any amount of money that it was his daughter."

It was silent for a few seconds as Adelaide processed her sister's words, a frown taking over her face as a small breath of confused laughter escaped her lungs. "What are you going on about?" She asked, confused, as she stepped closer, raising a hand to her sister's forehead. "Are you feeling okay? Did you drink too much-?" She was cut off by Winnie's laughter as she shoved the hand away from her forehead.

"Mum hasn't told you yet? Oh dear, what a shame." Her tone was sarcastic as she stared at her younger sister with an amused smirk.

"What are you nattering on about, you mad women?" Adelaide shot back, stomach in knots as her confusion turned into fear. What was wrong with her sister?

Winnie tilted her head, considering her words for a moment before shrugging. "You'll find out soon enough. You're 18 now, after all."

Suddenly, Winnie stormed forwards, shoving Adelaide towards the door, ignoring the cries of protest that flew from her mouth. She had always been the stronger sibling, so, no matter what Adelaide did, she continued to shove her backwards. When they finally reached the doorway, she gave one last push, causing Adelaide to topple backwards, landing on the hardwood floor of the hallway.

"You bitch!" Adelaide shouted, eyes wide as she scrambled to get to her feet. Winnie merely smirked before slamming the door and locking it. Screaming in frustration, Adelaide ran at the closed door, banging her fists on it.

"Give me my vibrator, you thieving cow!" She screamed, knowing her sister could hear everything she said quite clearly. "I swear to god, I call mum!"

"Do it then!" Came to the muffled response from behind the door.
