Few days later
Hyunjin was walking back from the gym, thinking about how much things had changed after that small trip.
His friend group was drifting apart, seungmin stopped talking to them, lee know and han argued everyday, changbin didn't even met eyes with them. And i.n stayed behind all the time, as if he wasn't even there.
Suddenly, hyunjin caught a glimpse of someone familiar looking. He squinted his eyes to see the figure clearly.
"Isn't that karina..?" Hyunjin thought to himself
Karina was quick to catch hyunjin staring at her. She smiled lightly while he approached her.
"Hey.." hyunjin spoke to her
"Hi...been a while" karina spoke as she gave hyunjin a side hug
"We should hang out sometime" karina spoke as she looked around
"Yeah...uh...when are you planning to go back?" Hyunjin asked
"Not so soon...i still have some time left...considering my graduation..." karina spoke
"Oh...right..." hyunjin spoke as he scratched his head
"You seem alone..? Were you at the gym?" Karina asked
"Yeah...how did you know?" Hyunjin asked in confusion
"Haha! I mean...look at you...you are drenched in sweat.." karina laughed
"Oh...yeah...." hyunjin sighed
"...it's not like i- um nevermind that..." karina spoke as she looked away
"Well...I'll see you around then." Hyunjin spoke as he was about to leave
"Wait..." karina spoke suddenly
"Yeah?" Hyunjin raised his eyebrow
"Let's talk...a bit more? I have something to say to you.." karina spoke normally
"...what is it?" hyunjin asked tiredly
"I don't have time for this.." hyunjin thought
"Hey! Who are you talk- ing to......" a voice spoke out of nowhere
"Oh.." karina gasped
Hyunjin's eyes met with the familiar soft voice, it was jennie.
Hyunjin's eyes widened as he looked away quickly.
"Uh...i better get going..." hyunjin spoke suddenly but was stopped by karina
It felt akward, the whole interaction was overwhelming for all of them. Hyunjin didn't want to talk to jennie at all. Jennie seemed a bit flustered to see him and couldn't make eye contact.
"Ah..I'm sorry...i didn't know it was you...i couldn't recognize...you..." jennie spoke
"Are you guys good..?" Karina spoke as she looked at both of them
"I'll give you both some time.." karina spoke and walked away
"Wait no...it's not necessary-" hyunjin spoke but got cut off
"Hey....its been a long time..." jennie spoke as she held the corner of Hyunjin's sweatshirt lightly
"In the past-" jennie spoke but got cut off
"Uh....I'd rather...go...let's not dwell into the past...I've moved on" hyunjin spoke bluntly as he backed away
"And...let's not talk...it's better for everyone..." hyunjin spoke and left
Jennie didn't stop him, she just watched him leave in silence.
"I didn't know she was with karina...if i knew...I'd never stop by to talk to karina..." hyunjin thought as he skipped his way out of the street
After hyunjin reached home, he felt tired. He took a shower and went to sleep.
He woke up 3 hours later abruptly. His phone was buzzing like crazy. He looked to see who it was.
He saw numerous texts and calls from felix.
"Fuck..." hyunjin spoke to himself
Hyunjin called back quickly as his heart started to pound.
"What...happened?" Hyunjin thought to himself
Felix picked up soon, hyunjin was confused as to why felix was blowing up his phone.
"Hey...I'm sorry..i fell asleep..." hyunjin sighed as he rubbed his temple
"Hyunjin..." felix spoke in a desperate tone
"I saw...the picture..." felix spoke suddenly
"Picture...? What picture?" Hyunjin asked in confusion
"Did you read my messages...? There's a picture...of you and jennie..." felix spoke as his breath shaked
"What...wait..." hyunjin spoke in confusion as he looked at the texts
There was a picture from the present day when jennie was speaking to him, the picture was zoomed in and taken from afar.
"What the...fuck...who the fuck took this..." hyunjin thought in shock
"Why..." hyunjin thought in frustration
"Wait...hold on...felix..hey...listen" hyunjin spoke as he got back on the call
"I don't know why would someone take this picture...and send you.." Hyunjin spoke as he gathered his thoughts
"This is getting out of hand.." hyunjin thought
"Hyunjin...I've been trying to get to talk to you...since hours...were you...with her the whole time?" Felix spoke lowly
"No...i promise i wasn't...i was back from the gym...when i saw karina...i didn't know jennie was with her.. we just had a little talk...thats all."hyunjin spoke nervously
"I trust you hyunjin. I was just....scared..." felix spoke as he exhaled
"Fuck...who would go to such lengths...." hyunjin mumbled
"Is the unknown number...really changbin? Did changbin do this...?" Hyunjin thought
"Who sent you this picture?" Hyunjin asked while felix was silent
