You saw Peter's face go through so many different emotions as he pulled out of you, confusion, shock, panic and fear.

You sat up on your elbows, "what is it?"

His mouth opened but nothing came out.

"Pete?" You started to get more and more worried with each beat of silence.

"I--I didn't--I thought it was--" he put his hands over his face, rubbing it frustrated before running his hands through his hair. His face was pink, "the--the condom broke..." He paused still not looking up at you.

"Oh--"

"I'm so sorry, I should have checked it, I was just so--oh my god--I'm so stupid, I'm sorry, okay? It'll be fine, right?" He sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than you which made you smile a little.

He looked up at you, a fierce look in his eyes, "it'll be okay, if you get-- pregnant, we'll--we'll work things out, whatever you want to do--"

His face softened, still processing your words, "oh--"
