Pacifica's POV
its just 5 days until the twins' birthday
yay
I've made the cake in advance just because
and Mabel is helping me out with buying decorations today
I've decided it would be a teddy bear themed party as both of the twins' favourite toy is the teddy bear...yay
Me and Mabel went to the nearest store to go and get some decor
"So Mabel, how are you and Sage?" I said to her to start up a conversation
"Uh..fine yeah she had to go back to Vancouver for a few days, but she'll be back in time for the birthday and wedding," Mabel said to me
"ok..." I said to her
I looked at her fully, and she didn't seem alright
"Hey, Mabel, are you -"
"Look, it's a ginormous teddy bear. I think this would be perfect for the birthday Paz. What do you think?" She said to me
"...amazing?"
"I'll buy it, don't worry...hey after this we should go shopping for some dresses just in case you haven't found one yet."
"Uh yeah, we can browse, I suppose," I said to her before taking the teddy bear off the shelf and putting it in the basket...its leg was hanging off the edge, though
A few minutes later, Mabel and I finished shopping at the store, and I decided to give in and go shopping for dresses
The shop was small of the edge of the park in a dainty little beige colour
"Wow, I wonder what it'll supply," I said to Mabel sarcastically
"Unless you already have a wedding dress in mind -"
"no its fine. It's always good to have options."
We eventually made it into the shop and split ways to look at different dresses and accessories
Mabel's POV
me and Pacifica decided to look at different areas of the shop to see what we could find
I was over at the jewellery section of the shop until I bumped into someone
"Oh, sorry -"
"It's fine," the person said with disgust
I turned my head to see who it may be, but they had already left before I could see who it was
"ok then," I said to myself
A few minutes later, I found Pacifica in the wedding dress isle of the shop with the woman who I accidentally bumped into
"Hey, are you thinking of buying that?" I overhearf the woman say to Pacifica
"Uh..not really just keeping my options open"
"thought so that's what they all say."
"What do you mean?"
"Look, if you can't get it, you can't get it."
"Wait, you think u can't afford this?" I overheard Pacifica say
"Ugh, maybe anyways, have fun browsing, I suppose," the lady said before walking away
I fully turned my head to see Pacifica putting away the dress and starting to exit the shop
"Pacifica wait-"
I went after her before the 'lady' came up to me and said
"oh your with her no wonder"
and that was the last straw
"Hey where'd you get your shirt from" I asked the lady
"why does that matter-"
"because it looks like one of those that only bitchy people like you would wear...no wonder I don't see anyone else wearing that shirt here" I said to her
I then immediately walked out and ran to Pacifica
"Hey Pacifica-" I said to her
she was sitting int he bench across the nearby pond
she just kinda sat there
"Hey I'm sorry but don't worry I told that lady off...and I used a bad word feels good-"
"Mabel did I even look food in any of those dresses?" Pacifica said to me with tears in her eyes
"What do you mean?" I said back to her
"like...was the woman right I...do I look like I could even afford this?" She said full on crying
"Pacifica no she...she didn't know...hey its okay" I said trying to comfort her
"ok let's just focus on the birthday now" she said
"you sure-"
"Yep the birthday will be a distraction from the dresses..." She said before getting up from the bench and walking over to the path
We went to a few more shops and decided to call it a day after 2 hours
we made it to her house and I decided to check if she was okay for the last time
"that was nice Mabel" she said
"Yeah... also are you fine now?"
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
"we'll just the whole dress thing"
"maybe let's forget it shall we?" she said back trying to ignore the subject but I wasn't going to fight over it
"okay well see you later"
"See you Mabel"
Dipper's POV
I heard Pacifica come through the door immediately going upstairs though I didn't ask her why she rushed upstairs
then I heard the phone ring
Dip: hello
May: Hey Dipper how's Pacifica?
Dip: Didn't you just hang out with her?
May: had she not told you yet?
Dip: Nothing...she's told me nothing
May: Oh well maybe just check in with her soon
Dip: ok and why-
*Call ends*
Mabel calling me made me worried about Pacifica so I decided to go upstairs to go and check on her
I knocked on the door but she didn't open
"Hey Pacifica are you OK?" I said from the other side of the door
no answer
I decided to just open the door and saw Pacifica sitting in the bed with tears in her eyes
I knew something was wrong...technically Mabel but still
*1 hour later*
"and that's why I don't know" Pacifica said to me
"honeslty as long as you wear what you wanna wear everything will be fine who cares what that woman said" I said to her
"thanks I think I'm fine now" She said back
"Hey want a drink?"
"as long as its not Mabel juice then I'll be fine" She said
seeing her smile made me smile and that's when I truly realised I loved Pacifica
I can't wait to marry her
