Soldiers Cry

Amidst the silent battlefield, where echoes of the past resound,
A soldier stands in solitude, with sorrow deeply bound.
Beneath the weight of heavy skies, where tears no longer fall,
He bears the burden of his soul, within the fortress wall.

Through shattered dreams and broken hopes, he marches on alone,
His heart a battleground of pain, where seeds of grief are sown.
With every step, a silent cry escapes into the night,
As memories of battles lost, ignite a flickering light.

In the darkness of the war-torn land, his tears become the rain,
A torrent of emotion, a river of silent pain.
For all the comrades lost in battle, their voices haunt his mind,
Their faces etched in memory, their sacrifice defined.

Yet in the depths of sorrow's grasp, a flicker of hope remains,
For in the soldier's tear-stained eyes, resilience still sustains.
Though battles rage and darkness falls, his spirit will not die,
For in the heart of every cry, a hero's soul does lie.
