Chapter 2

Addison's pov

"I'm counting on you. I'm counting on you."I thought. I sighed thinking about it. Those words kept repeating through my head. They wouldn't stop repeating through my head. "I'm counting on you. I'm counting on you. I'm counting on you." it wouldn't stop. It's like a record on repeat. I grabbed my pillow, lied down on my bed, and put the pillow over my face. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!" I screamed into the pillow. I heard footsteps coming towards my room. The door opened and I took the pillow off my face. I turned my head towards the door and Cory stood there. "Are you ok?" he asked. "Just peachy." I mumbled. He sat down on my bed.

"Cory, is there ever a time in life where someone is counting on you but you don't think you can do it?" I asked him. He nodded, "Yeah that happens to me all the time." he said. "But what if you don't think you can do it?" I asked. "Well you always have to try first of all. And if you definitely can't do it, they'll understand." he told me. I nodded, "Thanks Cory." I said. "Anytime." he said. He stood up and left my room. I looked at the ceiling and smiled. "Just do your best." I thought. I smiled and went downstairs. "Today's a new day. Let's start it off in a good way." I thought.

Later

I jumped off the bars and landed. Everyone clapped and I saluted the judges. I was at my gymnastics meet. It was our last one till after winter break. I walked off and the coach high fived me. I waited till my floor routine. I already did my bar, beam, and vault routine. After 10 minutes they called me down and I started. After I finished everyone clapped. I walked off and Cory hugged me. "Great job kid!" he said. I thanked him. We then waited for the results. I got first place bars, vault, and floor and second place beam.

Home

When we got home I put my trophies in my room. I changed out of my leotard and into my regular clothes. I had on red leggings with black polka dots, a black tunic, and black knee high shoes with red laces. I skipped downstairs and sat down by Riley. Maya came in a minute later and sat down right by me. We ate dinner and then Riley, Maya, and I went to Riley's window.

"Ok, guys I need your help." I told them. "With what?" Maya asked. "I want to get my family back together." I said. They stared at me. "Addy...This is great!! I'm so in!!!" Riley said. "Yeah me too. Let's meet these mysterious brothers of yours." Maya said. I giggled, "Thanks guys!" I said. We started think of ideas.
