I Let Him Leave

Chapter 7

Addy's pov

The adults were all talking for the rest of the night. So me, Maya, and Riley went to Riley's room. "So what happened?!" Riley asked excitedly. "Well, we only see each other holidays and over summer." I said. I explained what happened. "I'm sorry Addy." Maya said. Riley nodded. I shrugged, "Hey, I've made it this long without them. I can survive." I said. Riley frowned, "No you can't Addy. When they leave you'll definitely be crying." she said. "No I won't!" I argued. They both nodded, "Yeah you will." they both said. I glared at them and they laughed.

Christmas

We woke up with Auggie screaming "Merry Christmas!" in our ears. We opened the rest of the presents, then ate breakfast, then we watched more Christmas movies and talked. Then we ate dinner. It was so good! "5 minutes! You people ate it in 5 minutes!" Topanga said. We smiled. "What's for dessert Mom?" Riley asked. We all cheered up. "Nothing! You can sit there and think about the meal you just devoured!" she told us. We all groaned and sat there.

Christmas Night

No Christmas was almost over! I'll miss it when it's gone! We all sat in the living room and joke around. This was the most fun I've had in years! Then Jack and Rachel looked at each other. Something's up. "Well, we have to get going. I have work." Jack said. "Aw..." we all said. "Ok Addison. Stay strong! Prove Maya and Riley wrong! Don't cry!" I told myself in my head.They got their luggage and said goodbye to everyone and hugged. So far I haven't cried, yes! "Goodbye kid. See ya soon." Jack said and hugged me. "I'll miss you." I said. We let go then I hugged Rachel. "Good job Addy." Riley said. "Yeah, you didn't even do anything out of the blue. That's a first!" Maya said. I smiled. They were finishing saying goodbye to everyone.

"What are you doing kid?!" a voice said. I turned my head. It was dad. "Stop him! This family is going to break again!" he said. Then he left. He was right! Jack was about to leave. I jumped on the chair. "NO!" I screamed. Everyone stared at me as I jumped on Jack's back. "Ah! Addy what the heck are you doing!?" he asked me. "I'm NOT letting this family break again! You need to stay please!" I begged. "Addy I have to go! Get off of me!" he yelled. "NEVER!" I yelled. "Addison Grace Hunter get off of me right now!" he yelled. I stayed put.

"Please don't leave me again. You either Shawn! I miss you guys! I need my family back! I miss you too much to let you go!" I said crying. "Ok Addison, good job! You cried. Wait to show Riley and Maya your strong!" the voice in my head said sarcastically. "Shut up. I'm on the side of love!" I told it. "Addy, I'll miss you too, but I need to go. We had an agreement. I'll see you soon." he told me. I stayed on his back and kept crying. "Don't leave!" I begged. I felt a pair of arms pull me off of Jack. Jack kissed my forehead then left. Shawn put me down and I ran up to my room, locked the door, and cried. "I let him slip. I had him then he left. I failed you dad, once again." I cried. This is the WORST Christmas ever!
