Satoru made his way up the steps of jujutsu tech with a solemn expression

The year was 2007, after his awakening the higher ups began to send him on longer and far more dangerous missions, further isolating him

He hadn't even had time to go visit his now deceased underclassman Haibara and grieving one nanami and due to the business and mentally straining nature of her job, shoko was often too tired to hang out

But he did have his best friend, his one and only, suguru ge—

"Satoru" a small voice called out as he felt someone tug at his trousers, this prompted the white haired male to look down

Not the geto he was looking for but oh well

Instead of suguru, his younger five year old sister saeri stood behind Gojo, looking up at him with a concerned expression whilst she pressed the giant book in her hands close to her chest

"Oh hey Saeri! Is Suguru babysitting you today? He didn't tell me" Satoru hummed

"Yeah he is" Saeri frowned "but he's being weird"

"How so?"

"Well, Sugurus the best big brother ever and I love him so I'm worried" the five year old articulated, nearly dropping her book "he's become skinnier and sadder he's even angry now! I've never seen him angry before" She muttered

Satoru had picked up on his best friends change in behaviour, but had it really gotten so bad that his own little sister had come to acknowledge it?

"And satoru" She spoke, waving her hand in order to beckon him over "don't tell suguru this because he said sorry and I forgave him but.." She whispered

"When he was stressed, he got mad and called me a monkey"

"A monkey?" Satoru repeated "what does that mean??" He questioned Saeri shrugging

"I don't know but I don't want him to hate me" She said with teary eyes, satoru patting the top of her head

"Awe Saeri, he could never hate you" he reassured her "how about..I go and talk to him and then the three of us including shoko get ice cream afterwards"

"I'd like that" The five-year-old finally smiled, her worried expression dissolving

"Saeri, Sugurus coming to visit us today so make sure you have that drawing you wanted to show him from school" her mother spoke as her father helped her fix their chairs

"Yeah I have it in my room" The five year old smiled as she happily kicked her feet, anticipating her beloved brothers arrival

"He's here!" She said before the bell rang, sending his cursed energy, something their parents couldn't do and opening the door
