As Brea reached the exit of Zone 5, a surge of relief washed over her. The dimly lit corridor seemed to stretch endlessly, but she knew she was one step closer to freedom. However, her joy was short-lived as she felt a sudden chill in the air, a premonition of danger looming ahead.

Her senses were on high alert; Brea scanned her surroundings, her heart pounding. The exit loomed just ahead, tantalizingly close yet seemingly out of reach. Before she could take another step, a metallic voice echoed through the corridor.

"Intruder detected. Defence mode activated."

The once-quiet corridor erupted into chaos as automated turrets emerged from hidden alcoves, their barrels trained on Brea with deadly precision. Laser beams sliced through the air, narrowly missing her as she dove for cover behind a nearby pillar.

"Damn it!" Brea cursed, her breath in ragged gasps as she assessed her options. The defence mode system was relentless, its sole purpose of preventing anyone from escaping the facility alive.

With no time to waste, Brea wracked her brain for a solution. Then, her eyes fell on the verification bracelet strapped to her wrist. With a surge of hope, she dashed towards the control panel.

She ducked and weaved through the corridor, her agile movements guided by instinct to get close to the panel.

Lasers shot out from the walls, slicing through the air with deadly precision. Brea threw herself to the ground, narrowly avoiding being caught in their path, as she scrambled to her feet and pressed on.

The walls seemed to come alive, shifting and morphing in response to her every move. But Brea was undeterred. With determination burning in her veins, she fought tooth and nail to overcome the obstacles that stood in her way. With a desperate leap, Brea hurled herself towards the control panel.

Ding!

As the control panel recognized her verification bracelet, the doors to the exit slid open with a hiss, revealing a blinding light beyond. But her moment of triumph was short-lived as the defence mode system continued its assault, the turrets still tracking her every move.

With a glance over her shoulder, Brea sprinted towards the open doorway, her heart pounding in her chest as she felt the heat of the laser beams sear her skin. She threw herself through the threshold with a final leap, tumbling into the unknown beyond.

Brea scrambled to her feet as she landed on the other side, her body trembling with adrenaline. The door slid shut behind her with a finality that sent a shiver down her spine. But she didn't have time to dwell on her narrow escape.

As Brea ventured deeper into Area 4, the corridor seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy. The walls were adorned with strange glyphs and symbols, glowing softly in the dim light. Every step she took echoed ominously as if the corridor was alive and watching her every move.

The air was thick with the scent of decay, a stark reminder of the horrors that lurked around every corner. Shadows danced along the walls, casting eerie shapes that seemed to reach out for her.

With each passing moment, Brea's senses were assaulted by the relentless moans of the undead. Their twisted forms shuffled towards her; their sunken eyes fixated on her with a hunger that sent chills down her spine.

But Brea was no stranger to fear. With resolute determination, she raised her weapon and prepared to face the horde head-on.

"Come on, you bastards!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the corridor as she charged towards the approaching zombies. "I've had enough of this nightmare!"

With swift, precise movements, Brea slashed through the ranks of the undead, her baton cutting through rotten flesh with ease. Each strike was a testament to her survival instinct, a refusal to succumb to the horrors that surrounded her.
