Six Years Later:
Hi there, Y/N. It's been some time since I have been on this platform. I have been going through a ton of different milestones since finishing "Alive" like graduating college, getting a full time job (and a part time job because of California prices lol) and so much others. Today, I decided to take a trip down memory lane and see how the story was doing...Holy crap dude. The views jumped from 74K views to 145K!
It feels like ages ago that I uploaded the first chapter and yet I can remember it like yesterday how it felt to write each chapter and watch my few close friends read and react to it. It was what drove me to finish the story in the first place. To see that so many people have found my story and enjoyed it like I did literally brings tears to my eyes. And I know its weird to get sentimental over a fan fic, but in the end I put hours of my time each day to put my own creative spin on this story. The characters and setting may not have been my original idea but the main character and their actions were.
I'm just overjoyed to see that "Alive" is doing really well and others are still enjoying the story well after the game's release. Detroit Become Human will forever hold a special place in my heart as I hope it does for you as well. I also hope that this story encourages you or maybe someone else to write their own story. Fan fictions are my immediate go to when I need to get myself out of a funk. Even if you don't think it'll be good, even if you don't think people are going to read it, just put your ideas down on paper (or more like screen lol) We all have to start somewhere.
