Chapter 11: Protective Instincts

As Jimin and Jungkook stepped off the bus, the cool evening air enveloped them, a welcome relief from the stifling heat of the crowded vehicle. They were greeted by the sight of their classmates milling about, their voices mingling with the sounds of the bustling city as they made their way towards the hotel where they would be staying for the duration of their trip.

But as they walked, Jimin couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over him like a dark cloud, a sense of foreboding that whispered of danger lurking just beneath the surface. And then, as if on cue, a stranger appeared seemingly out of nowhere, his gaze fixed on Jimin with a predatory gleam in his eye.

"Hey there, sweetheart," the man purred, his voice dripping with false charm as he sidled up to Jimin. "What's a pretty thing like you doing all alone?"

Jimin's heart skipped a beat at the man's words, a cold shiver running down his spine as he instinctively took a step back. He had never been comfortable with strangers, especially not ones who seemed so eager to get close to him.

Before he could muster a response, the man reached out and grabbed Jimin's arm, his touch sending a jolt of fear coursing through him. Panic surged through Jimin's veins as he struggled to break free, his mind racing with memories of past traumas and the pain that still haunted him to this day.

"Let go of me!" Jimin cried, his voice trembling with fear as he tried in vain to escape the man's grasp.

But the man only laughed, his grip tightening on Jimin's arm as he leaned in closer, his breath hot against Jimin's ear. "Come on, sweetheart, don't be like that," he cooed, his words a sickening mockery of affection. "I just want to have a little fun."

Jimin's heart pounded in his chest as he fought to keep his rising panic at bay, his mind spinning with fear and uncertainty. He knew he had to get away, knew he had to find safety before it was too late.

And then, as if from nowhere, Jungkook appeared at his side, his expression dark and dangerous as he glared at the man who dared to lay a hand on Jimin. Without a word, he stepped forward and delivered a swift, punishing blow to the man's jaw, sending him sprawling to the ground with a cry of pain.

The sight of Jungkook coming to his rescue filled Jimin with a sense of relief and gratitude, but it also left him feeling strangely unsettled. There was a raw power in Jungkook's actions, a ferocity that sent a shiver down Jimin's spine even as it filled him with a strange sense of reassurance.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked, his voice soft and concerned as he reached out to gently brush a strand of hair from Jimin's face.

Jimin nodded, his heart still racing in his chest as he struggled to regain his composure. "Yeah," he whispered, his voice barely above a hoarse whisper. "Thank you."

Without another word, Jungkook wrapped an arm around Jimin's waist, pulling him close as they continued on their way to the hotel. And as they walked, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of safety and security in Jungkook's presence, a feeling that he knew he would never take for granted again. And jimin himself didn't know why he was not feeling uncomfortable from jungkook's touch he was rather relieved by it.
