Awakening

Chandra stumbled through the dimly lit alley, looking like a lost puppy in a storm. Her head was pounding like a construction site, and she felt like she had swallowed a dragon that was now breathing fire in her throat.

" could this day get any worse?"she muttered in her head.

She seemed completely clueless about what was going on, probably because her brain had decided to take a vacation without telling her. It was like watching a bad movie where the main character just can't get anything right

Chandra stumbled around like a total mess. Seriously, it was like watching a toddler trying to walk for the first time. She seemed lost and confused, probably wondering how the heck she got into this chaotic mess in the first place. Despite the chaos, she managed to keep her cool, but you could tell something was definitely off - she had this intense craving, It was for food. Classic case of "drunk munchies," she thought..
That's okay. I'll just quickly walk home, and then i can eat something,"
She was in desperate need of some grub to maybe, just maybe, help her snap out of this drunken faze that she found herself in.

Chandra was definitely not your typical girl - she was a mix of crazy, insanely smart, and sometimes bouncing off the walls like a bunch of hyper frogs. Her parents attempted to talk sense into her, but let's face it, they were clueless about the stuff Chandra knew. It was like they were speaking different languages - her parents with their old-school logic and Chandra with her futuristic brain. It was a battle of generations, and let me tell you, it was not pretty.

Seriously, how does one end up in a dark alley after a night out? She was supposed to meet Chris and Shannon at "DeadDawn," the new club in town. But no, she found herself wasted and alone in that sketchy alley. Where were her so-called friends when she needed them? Typical. And to top it off, she's not even the type to pass out from drinking. Well, except for now, apparently. Great job, Chandra. Just great.
Chandra found herself in a deserted street, which was eerily silent even for the dead of night. There was no sign of a single soul around, not even a stray cat. It was like a scene from a horror movie, but without the dramatic background music. As she tried to reach out to her friends for help, both Chris and Hannah were MIA, which was highly unusual considering they were usually glued to their phones. The lack of response from them only added to the already weird situation she found herself in.

She mumbled to herself, "Great, stranded in a ghost town with no lifelines in sight. What a night to remember or forget."

Chandra sensed a presence lurking around, making her skin crawl. She picked up her pace, not willing to stick around and find out who the creepy stalker was. Horror movies might be thrilling, but being the star of one? No thanks! Who needs that kind of drama.
" Definitely not me"

Chandra, in a panic, picked up her pace as she heard a mysterious rustling in the trees. Unsure of the source, she felt a strong urge to sprint away, convinced that something was trailing her. She knew better than to stop and investigate, especially after all those horror movies she'd seen - standing around asking questions never ended well in those scenarios. It's like people in horror movies forget how to use common sense!

She finally reached her mom's house, feeling like she had just finished a never-ending marathon. Let me tell you, it was a relief to see that front door. "She was definitely not going to kick the bucket tonight," she mumbled to herself. After unlocking the door, she stepped inside, only to be greeted by an eerie silence that could make your hair stand on end. And then, out of the shadows, her mom appeared with a look of pure concern plastered on her face.

"Is everything okay, mom?" Chandra asked, puzzled by her mom's reaction. And here we go, the interrogation began.

"Where have you been? It's 3 a.m., and you're just waltzing in now. Where's Chris and Hannah? Weren't they with you last night? I trusted them to watch over you. Whether you like it or not, you're still my little baby, always will be. I can't keep you from leaving the house since you're 18, but the least you can do is send me a text or something. I have every right to worry, you know?"

Her eyes rolled as she recounted the chaotic night to her mom. "Mom, I have no clue what happened. I was chilling with Chris and Hannah at the club, and then bam, next thing I know, I'm waking up in some random spot not too far from the club. I assumed those two would've had my back, made sure I got home safe, but nope, they were nowhere to be found. Zero memory of how I ended up outside the club, classic drunk mystery, right? Tried calling Chris and Hannah, but surprise, surprise, they conveniently went MIA. Probably assumed I magically teleported home or something. Sorry for not giving you a heads up, Mom, but I was a bit tipsy and lost. Lesson learned: Next time, I'll ring you up before embarking on a drunken adventure. At least I'm all good now, promise.

Chandra was just heading to the fridge when her mom stopped her, suggesting she take a shower and promising to whip up a quick dinner. Chandra was taken aback - her mom rarely cooked for her, especially after a night out. She couldn't believe her luck. Heading upstairs, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and was shocked. Her eyes were bloodshot, her hair surprisingly neat for a night out, and her skin looked flawless.

Chandra was totally thrown off by the situation at hand. She was baffled by the mysterious red eyes staring back at her. Could they be contacts? She attempted to remove them with her fingers, only to realize there were no lenses to be found. Seriously, what the heck was going on with her eyes?
She mumbled to herself.
