Yoora groaned as she read their unusually dry conversation over again. Lexi who was more focused on the movie playing on the TV of the living room turned around in slight surprise
"What's up?" Lexi asked, raising an eyebrow at the sudden outburst. Yoora hesitated for a bit before sitting up and taking a deep breath
"Remember Stephanie?" Yoora asked, carefully planning out her statements so she wouldn't dig herself into a deeper hole
"The one that's getting married?" Lexi asked pausing the TV
"Yeah...like we got in contact with each other last week and it was all going good but then—i don't know it's just like we're not close anymore—"
"Were you over?" Lexi chuckled, furrowing her brows as she listened in
"Yeah...like a little" Yoora said, realising she should've probably chose a more believable person
"Alright well...I mean she is getting married soon" Lexi added in, dusting her hands on her sweats
"Right! Exactly! She's getting married and her life is just completely different to mine now but like...the friendship shouldn't have to change too right? Like she can still you know...trust me with stuff right?" Yoora asked, a sense of hurt evident in her voice making Lexi furrow her brows even more as her smile straightened up
"Well...I guess that's up to her. Life happens and people change you know, if people change then so can the friendship but that doesn't mean it's still not there you know? It just...takes some time to rebuild it" Lexi shrugged and Yoora sighed, shoving her head into a cushion
