39. Hurtful Remorseful

As they stumbled backward onto the plush mattress, their bodies tangled together in a chaotic heap, their lips collided in a sudden and unexpected kiss. For a brief moment, time seemed to stand still as their hearts raced in unison, their breath mingling in the small space between them.

Their eyes widened in surprise as they both registered the sensation of their lips pressing against each other. KS hand instinctively reached out to steady her, fingers grazing Hm cheek before recoiling as if burned.

A notification come on Hm phone their trance broke She gasped softly, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she pulled away, breaking the accidental embrace.

Hm immediately gets up and looks here and there folding her sarees pallu. Ks also gets up sitting on the bed looking blankly the scene flashed in their mind Hm felt embarrassed she subconsciously touched her own lips her cheeks became red. Hm peeped behind her little to see Ks who is already looking at her their eyes meet and Hm immediately turned her gaze. Both of them felt awkward in this situation. Awkward silence filled the room, broken only by the soft sound of their breathing and the faint hum of the bedside lamp.

The air between them crackled with tension as one of them facing the back to the other, while the other one didn't knew what to say.

"I-I'm so sorry," Ks stammered, her voice barely above a whisper, her face flushed with a mixture of confusion and embarrassment.

"No, no, it's okay," Hm replied, her voice equally shaky, her gaze fixed on a spot somewhere beyond his shoulder. "That was...um... unexpected."

After a while Ks clears her throat breaking the ice between them and says : Voh hum bol rahe the ki....

Hm immediately says to divert the situation : Ye sab choriye aur ye boliye aap uss bar mein kya karne gyi thi aur apka phone kyu band tha?

Now the realization hit Ks as she recalled she went to bar with Billu yesterday night Ks : Hamare phone pe charge nahi tha

Hm sighs : Uss bar mein Kya karne gayi thi aap?" Hm questioned looking suspicious at Ks.

As Ks heard Hm words she remind silent with expressionless face.

After not getting response from Ks, Hm ask again : Boliye Kya kar rahe the aap waha bar mein aur ye konse informar se milne gayi thi aap? Hm questioned standing with her arms crossed tightly over her chest, her brow furrowed in frustration.

Ks turns to leave but Hm stands before her blocking her way spreading her hands with determination in her eyes to know the truth.

Hm : Aap aise nahi ja sakhte bina Hume jawaab diye.

Ks tightened her fist staring at Hm & says : Par Hume koi jawab nahi dena apko hum jo chahein voh kare apko uss se Ka?

Hm shook her head : Beshaq aap jo chahein voh kare lekin hume janne ki pura haq hein

Ks : Hum apko voh batana zaroori nahi samajhte inn sab se aap dur hein rahiye toh behtar hein aur humare mamlon se toh bilkul bhi...koi haq nahi banta apko." Ks said coldly.

Hm stares at Ks blankly yet she says : Aap saydh bhul rahi hein hum sirf apki Wife nahi apki senior bhi hein isliye hume pura Haq....

Ks cuts her in middle and says furiously : Aap nah hamara dimaag maat churaan kariye ye sab kuch nah aap hein ke karan hua hein kis ne kaha tha apko iss shadi ko accept kar ke yaha ane ko!!! Ha boliye kisne kaha tha apko?" Ks shouted at Hm who stands silently listening whatever Ks is saying," Jab dekhu tabh bass humare Piche padi Rehti hein!!
