Chapter two: ''Radio car Silence''

8:42 p.m

I opened the door an entered the house, the house was.. Quiet? Too quiet for my liking, I knew something was wrong but I didn't really question it anymore. Its always like this nowadays, I just have to prepare myself for being ambushed

I quickly but quietly walked towards my room and closes my room door softly so as to not make any noise

I walked towards my closet door and picked out what to wear, it's a birthday party not an actual party so it would be a bit weird to wear something formal

I took out the invention that Bernard gave me and read the details, it said it's astronomy themed party but it's optional to dress up.

I dug around through my closet until I found my shirt that has the moon phases on it, I grabbed my hoodie that has the constellation printed onto it, some black ripped jeans and shoes that have stars on them. I guess I'm really going all out, huh?

I layed down my clothes on top of my bed, so I can see what i'm working with

I stripped off of my work uniform and changed into my appropriate birthday attire, I grabbed the invention and re-read it to make sure that I didn't miss any important details. And that's when I saw it;

Start time: 9 p.m - 11 p.m

Party theme: Astronomy
Dress Code: Astronomy / Space themed (Optional!)

**Optional: You may bring a plus one (aka one friend of your choosing. Pick Wisely!)

Wait- I can bring a friend? I don't really know that many people that I'm really friends with, who can I bring to tag along with me at the party? I mean the paper did say that I was optional to bring someone but still. I wanna at least talk to someone at the party.

I mean, I could bring Craig but it is a bit on a short notice and it might be a bit weird since he doesn't really know these people but I could at least tried right?

I was a bit hesitant at first but then I finally mustered but the courage to dial Craig's phone number, its still pretty weird that he gave me his phone number, even if it was needed for the group project but still.

I opened up the contacts and clicked on Craig's profile, it was right under Bernard's profile. Craig surprisingly picked up right away which was a bit weird but still nice. The party is about to start soon so I am a bit on a time crunch

"Hello Jason! What's up?" Craig asked into the phone

Okay, it's just one question, it'll be easy. Just say it its not weird- just get it over it. Why am I so anxious to talk to him? It's just a question, it's a friendly question, so it shouldn't be hard to say

"Hello, Jason? Are you there? You okay?" Craig asked again

I got snapped outta my thoughts when he spoke again, I forgot he picked up

"hEy!" I responded, but my vocal cords just had to decide to make me have a voice crack. I swore that I heard Craig chuckle a bit at the end of the line, but I'm not sure. I cleared my voice and started talking again

"Ahem, Hi Craig, I was wondering if you'd like to tag along with me to Chandlers birthday party tonight at 9" I told Craig, although it sound like I was reading off a script since my voice sound robotic-y
